When you sprain any tendon or ligament and they heal, they will still be loose for quite a while. So even though Kupp was allowed to play and was pain free, if the ligament was still loose it can lead to strains on neighboring ligaments. And since the ligaments in question are on the same knee, I personally find this too much of a coincidence to think that's not what happened here.His ACL was loose from an MCL sprain?
