I don't think the Jaguars needed to draft a RB that early Robinson had almost 1100 yards in just 14 games last year
Just like real estate it looks like running backs are all about one thing, rotation rotation rotation. Lawrence will have some nice support behind him for sure, great way to help a rookie QB.

True the RB by committee is becoming common practice (hell for fantasy football lovers). I love our young duo but wasn't a fan of Henderson when we drafted him but he showed me a lot last year with his tough hard nosed running.

It's nice grading the draft 1 day later. Everybody does it but we know it takes 2 - 3 years to get an accurate final answer. There's also something else to consider. Does Jacksonville getting an "A" average a day later make them a contender or simply a .500 team? The Jets? Detroit? Etc. Etc. Does Tampa's average grade, or New Orleans mean they're done? Of course not. Teams that sucked drafted higher....every round....they could put up the top 50 prospects, throw darts and they'd improve their team. But how much?

'Who Won the Draft?'

Reminds me of McVay's comment after the Stafford-trade when someone asked 'Who won the trade?', and McVay responded that
'It's not about winning trades, it's about winning Super Bowls'

Who TF cares? There is succeeding to improve your team and not succeeding to improve your team. That is the only metric that applies to the draft. The Rams drafted 3 players last night that might possibly lay the ground work for building an amazing team. The other guys need work like all late and midround players do. Draft grades now are dumb. How many times do we see a few years later, these same guys talking about re-drafting with hindsight? LMFAO

The Rams improved their roster that's all that matters.

I can just see McVay hoisting the Lombardi and saying, "Well winning the Superbowl is a nice consolation and all, but it cant erase the low grade on our draft"

I loved what Miami did. They really set Tua up for success. No excuses this year IMO. They also shored up an already really good defense. No doubt they can get into the playoffs this year.

I was iffy on Fields after watching him for two years. When he got drafted by Chicago, AKA the QB cemetery, I immediately wrote him off. They're getting an 'A' from every pundit, which might be fair, but all I can think is surefire bust going there.

They can give teams like the Jaguars and Bengals or Bears an A all they want. Jacksonville and Chicago are both coming to LA for beatdowns this year. They'll keep saying we're going all in. Two years from now they'll ignore that our draft class was better than Chicago's and give us another C, rinse and repeat.

I know it's been divisive here, but so much of a players success is the situation they go to. Aside from having a great coach, on defense we have two hall of famers in their prime. Rochell and the Browns will be working in the same rooms as AD and Ramsey. That type of advantage can't be quantified.

And IMO its the biggest reason why I would almost always give our drafts high grades - our front office has proven that they rarely draft "busts" and our coaches and players can raise the level of marginal players.
