Yeah i understand all of that. I'm just going off what history has shown us. Mcvay doesn't play rookie rbs, and while he offers us depth, he won't see much playing time unless someone is injured. So to me he's just depth with more upside. I'd of rather them draft a DB and look for a potential starter over DK
RB HATER!

Puka can get deep, and went from our only true deep threat (with Robinson and Kupp on the field) to our 2nd/3rd best deep threat with Tutu and Adams on the field with him.

Ferguson runs a 4.63 40 which is probably the fastest TE on the roster now.

Hunter runs a 4.4 which is the fastest RB on the roster.

I think we got more explosive at every level - now, TE/RB are unlikely to be focal points - but no rookie really would, so we can't really complain about that post draft. We absolutely are more explosive and dangerous at WR, and that IMO is where we will see the biggest improvement next year.
Im not trying to sound like an ahole here so bare with me :) Our definitions of explosive plays are probably different. Yes, Puka CAN get deep but Adams is not really a deep threat player especially now. Tutu is the only threat and hope after 3 years he is used as such, cause I think there is a player there.

I hear ya on the speed of Ferguson and Hunter. Ferguson hopefully becomes a chain mover and opens the field but watching his tape does not show an explosive player right now (again our definitions could be different). As for Hunter, he may run a 4.4 but that dude does not play at 4.4 speed. He is caught in the open field much too easily for my liking and from behind.

On top of that, the Rams have not taken many chances downfield and my opinion is there were protecting a weakness in their protection so there seemed to be alot more check downs the past 2 years. Building some depth on the oline and potentially even upgrading the oline in the draft would help in opening up the passing game. There was tackle depth to be had in this draft.

TE room is massively upgraded over last season with Higbee (since he missed most of the season) AND Ferguson

RB depth is upgraded with Corum going into year 2 AND Hunter - who can add a speed element if he sees the field this year

Adams is likely to be a sizable upgrade to Kupp, for multiple reasons - but namely, availability

Paying Tutu indicates we will have a deep threat on the field

Shelton means the center position should be upgraded either way

I don't see Hunter making an impact this season, but for my money we will be better at WR, TE and on the OL. That should be enough to get us a fringe top 10 offense
Corum is a lot like Kyren, I guess the thinking was to ease some of Kyren’s workload without changing the offense. We didn’t really see a lot of Corum though and although Kyren had a good year the rushing offense was bottom 5 in explosive runs. The ram offense was pretty good but lacked explosiveness in the run and pass game. Hunter is known for his strength and was known for breaking big runs. A lot of things are in flux, he might end up having a bigger role as Corum didn’t carve out a role and Kyren’s contract is still up in the air.

I’m not going to agree at all.Don’t know how you can come to that conclusion??

First Adams always has a chance to take it to The House.Last year was amazing from just looking at it in Fantasy Numbers. His speed isn’t Randy Moss like, but he’s tough in the open field.

From watching Hunter I don’t see him getting caught from behind much, but then again Blake Corum at Michigan was taking to the House a lot from what I remember??

Ferguson out of ALL The TE’s coming out in the draft had The Most YAK(9 yard avg) of any of them.

Higbee , Kyren & Puka seem to be more move the sticks type. Then again Puka is a Beast to Bring Down.
