I would be very surprised if he's even a game day active.Hodge in for Thomas. Let's see what this darling from preseason can do.

Well, we lost Cooper and now Thomas. So, we currently have Cooks, Woods, Kupp, Reynolds, and Natson. You don't think they'd want another receiver active? Or, am I missing someone?I would be very surprised if he's even a game day active.

Thanks for clarifying. So, when Thomas and Cooper weren't injured, was Reynolds inactive then? If you know...Cooks, Woods, Kupp, Reynolds, and Natson are all game day actives already. 5 receivers is a lot, especially since the starting 3 get virtually all of the time on offense. Reynolds is available just in case, and Natson can go into the offense in an emergency. The team is likely to have an active at another position, instead of having another active at WR who is unlikely to take a snap. You know, have another defender they can sub in, or maybe have 8 OL just in case.
Were all the receivers active last week or was Mike Thomas inactive?Well, we lost Cooper and now Thomas. So, we currently have Cooks, Woods, Kupp, Reynolds, and Natson. You don't think they'd want another receiver active? Or, am I missing someone?

According to McVay's press conference today, they have plans on working Hodge into the special teams.Reynolds was the #4 receiver all year (and last year, iirc). Cooper was the returner, rarely actually having plays on the offense. Thomas was a top gunner on ST, again rarely playing as a receiver.
For Hodge to be active, he would need to be a key special teamer. That's not the case, at least yet. At this point Hodge seems likely to be another guy to use on the offense in case of injury, one who was called up at least partially so that he was not signed away. It could change - he could become a gunner and win a key spot on special teams. If he were viewed as likely to be a key returner, he probably would have been brought up instead of Natson (they obviously value his overall package more, or they would have had Natson on the practice squad instead of Hodge). But at this point, Hodge is insurance for another receiver injury.
Stands to reason since there are 19 snaps on special teams open for somebody that were taken last week.According to McVay's press conference today, they have plans on working Hodge into the special teams.
All six receivers were active for week 1; Thomas was inactive week 2.Were all the receivers active last week or was Mike Thomas inactive?
That might give us a clue.
