Would love to have someone break down the all 22 and show his impact.

His instincts and tackling are really showing up every week and it nice to have a safety that can catch the ball for the game changing pick.

I guess we really do not agree here because have already seen regression in Verse.

If you plotted his pressure's I bet you will see they have declined over the year.

I think he could be a monster for sure -but like anyone else he has to prove it over time.
It's not a huge difference. He has 40 pressures in the 1st eight games and 35 pressures in the 2nd eight games.

What declined in the 2nd half are actual sacks but he's been getting pressure throughout the year at a pretty consistent rate.

Nice post and agreed. That said, only time will tell. The year we drafted AD was probably our best draft in terms of pro bowls; all pros; and defensive players of the year, and that was Aaron alone!

How about this draft? The other players all flamed out completely!
  • 1.16 Jerry Rice, WR, Mississippi Valley State
  • 3.75 Ricky Moore, RB, Alabama
  • 5.140 Bruce Collie, G, Texas-Arlington
  • 6.168 Scott Barry, QB, California-Davis
  • 11.308 David Wood, DE, Arizona
  • 12.336 Donald Chumley, Georgia
13 Pro Bowls, 10 All-Pros :)

Which is common enough with rookies. That longer schedule is real and there is often an adjustment.

Favorite play from Kinchens was in the Buff game where one of their receivers was about to catch a td pass from Allen, Witherspoon got beat and right before he catches it, Kinchens comes OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE, dives and uppercuts the ball away from the receiver.

Dude is a stud in my book.

Has anyone had a better two year run on draft picks?

2023: Avila, Turner, Young, Allen, Nacua, Evans. Johnson gets his share of snaps on defense.

2024: Verse, Fiske, Corum, Kinchens, Limmer, Whittington, Karty.

All solid contributors to the Rams success. And figure to contribute to future success. The future is bright.

Wouldn’t be upset if 2025 lists the future at QB…..the foundation being built can contribute for quite some time

I disagree - early in the year yes.

The last handful of games he has been solid but not as good as Kinchen's or Fiske.
I know it’s just our opinions, right?
But I notice that the Rams pass rush in general usually benefits from one guy pushing the play/QB into another Ram defender.
Verse has been instrumental in this. So has Turner and Hoecht.

I don’t know how anyone singles just one particular player when the Rams are giving up less than 10 points a game lately. This defense is balling and it’s mostly because of the last 3 drafts.

He pretty much confirmed after the game he was benched because he was not getting contain.

You could find the video pretty easily I'm guessing of him talking about it.
I will take your word for it. I like that they did that to him in game. Calm him down to focus on what he needs to.

I kind of liked the INT in the end zone returned for a TD, which basically saved the Rams from almost sure doom against the sea pigeons.

But yeah, this dude is a stud.
