Those are some crazy $$$$. I wonder if any WR is worth that. It guts your ability to pay other skill players.
I looked at a list and the top paid WR for each of the last 8 years has been 13-14% of the overall cap. While the WR cap hit has gone up it's gone up equally with the overall cap. Nothing changes even though that number for the WR goes up.Those are some crazy $$$$. I wonder if any WR is worth that. It guts your ability to pay other skill players.

I know I risk being tarred and feathered here for even bringing this up, but there is chatter that management is less than happy with some of his off the field decisions. While his on the field productivity is off the charts, to give a non-QB that much money and % of the cap is dangerous. Especially a guy whose playing style leads to more injury risk. It just seems like an extension based on productivity is a decision that could have already been made. It looks like a similar extension for Puka means good bye to Avila or Dotson and probably BY. I'm not sayin' - I'm just sayin'.
I'm not worried at all about anything off the field, Puka's a good kid who can be a bit silly but his passion for football is second to none. He's the engine for this offense who is only getting better and I don't think we can afford to let him go, even for multiple 1sts. If that's what you're sayin'.I know I risk being tarred and feathered here for even bringing this up, but there is chatter that management is less than happy with some of his off the field decisions. But look who they had to let leave as free agents to accommodate the new deal. It looks like a similar extension for Puka means good bye to Avila or Dotson and probably BY.
