And why would anyone vote against him becoming a valuable asset? As a special teamer, he's already there. As a WR? We'll see if he gets any snaps. Reynolds was terrible as a rookie, only 11 catches out of 24 targets
Sample size isn’t good enough. If he gets more snaps and proves he has that then yes. But you are definitely jumping the gun there.. How about we make a poll? Does B Sko become a valuable asset?
I honestly had no idea, but found it quite funny to see that the stats are nearly identical. Given that Quick played on such a terrible offensive team, with worse QB play, it actually suggests his numbers were held back while Reynolds playing in a much more successful offense/QB had his numbers puffed up
So why is a playoff contender releasing wrs in the middle of the season especially when their top guys have injury concerns? Just askin.
Rams put in a waiver claim for Reynolds. To me that says they're worried about WR depth.

We just had a WR go down for the season, getting a guy who we know understands the system and can play, at least in limited snaps, makes sense. I don't think it's a worry about depth thing so much as a hole in the roster and a best fit thing.

This why I said don't be surprised if the Rams kick the tires on Odell. It's a slim chance but they have to do their due diligence.
Comparing careers of Quick and Reynolds is apples to oranges. Quick was a very high second round pick. As close as you can get to be first rounder without being one. Reynolds was a 4th round pick. And the eye test tells me Reynolds was better. Quick was a good blocker but that is about it.
Revisited this thread, and think it has kind of gone-off-the rails a little bit.
Initially, it was about whether Reynolds would be a good depth pick-up for the Rams.
Then it evolved into a discussion of whether he was good ... average ... below-average ... garbage / terrible.
Some of us thought an inexpensive veteran who was familiar with the Rams' system would be a sound addition in case of injury to the top-three, or if the two inexperienced reserves were not ready to contribute. Many of us thought it was just a "What If" discussion because Reynolds figured to go elsewhere through a waiver-claim, and the Rams would not have the opportunity to add him, which is exactly what happened.
Now this thread has become a comparison of two WRs the Rams did not re-sign in free agency. One a WR on a winless team, the other a WR that last played for the Rams when Rob Boras was their Offensive Coordinator.
Let's start a discussion of OLBs Samson Ebukam compared to Jo-Lonn Dunbar.
Ebukam started 35 games for the Rams; and Dunbar started 36.

Actually Reynolds played strong for his size and he was not easy to bring down. I felt if he put in the time he could be very good.
I think with the Titans. He was just buried as far as their WR depth.
Now he's in Detroit and maybe he gets more opportunity.

As much as I don't like what OBJ is about... At least he's a talented wideout who will produce if he gets his head right. Reynolds offered nothing outside of blocking and knowing the offense. Sure those things would have helped the Rams but I think the Lions did the Rams a favor by claiming him.
Even though I feel like OBJ will end up doing his thing and going elsewhere or being cut... Just that chance that he pulls his head out of his ass and starts playing up to his talent level is exciting. Monday night I'm gonna be on the edge of my seat with big hopes. Reynolds would not have done that for me.

Dude just go look at his interview.I don’t know what 2022 will bring,but Beckham was a class act from his Rams beginning.I wouldn’t doubt him & his skill level.He will be a Big Part of this Rams Run towards a SuperBowl.

Reynolds & Givens is a good comparison though as far as being 4th rd picks. Funny how both never panned out.
