Every single comment and thought in your post was reasonable.

I highlight just this one because, While it was Anticipated, Expected and EVEN Assumed, the Rams did NOT need to start over after they won it all in 2021. The Teams stayed Relevant and Very Good.

The disaster of 2022 was about a short off-season, Super Bowl hangover and a ridiculous amount of injuries.

Yeah, it was not a total rebuild situation. Too much talent and smart people for that around here.
BUT, I do not want to give up three 1st round picks and more for whatever 32 year old top QB is available. They will be old and we will be lucky to get 5 years out of whoever it is.
These last few drafts prove just how valuable picks are with the right people doing the picking.
And I think McVay and Co can win it all with a lot of quarterbacks.
What I want to see is a 22 year old quarterback as talented as Stafford joined at McVays hip for 15 years and 5 Super Bowls.
Just have to pick the right kid. Its more about what is between the ears than athletic ability.

I get it we pulled off a miracle once trading for a Vet QB to restart the window but that was a once in a lifetime payoff those things for QB's just don't happen often if at all aside from Stafford.
Man, dont you realize how often this happens? I mean the Rams are the poster child for trading for former star QB's and having them take the team to a higher level.
Dayum, think of all those SB's they won after trading for Joe Namath, Dan Pastorini, Bert Jones, Steve Bartkowski etc.
Never mind in this era where we've seen teams trade for the Joe Flacco, Russell Wilson, Phillip Rivers, Matt Ryan, Geno Smith's of the world and instantly win a SB
Yep, it's just a matter of figuring which QB you want, and *poof* they become a Ram!!

Yeah I do and I refrain from these kind of posts I'm sure as much as you and Den do. Every once in a while though a little education is required. It's nice to fantasize about acquiring that next big name. But they rarely work and they're almost never a realistic idea.

Even so, for a brief moment, Broadway Joe was exciting and even more handsome in our Rams uniform!

Indeed and like I said not nearly the player he was earlier in his career, though he was always one that won with effort and making that big play than being a great thrower of the football, and his time was very short lived. There was a reason he was available then to the Rams and that reason isn't applicable to Allen atm.

By 2030 perhaps. He will only be 34 by then…Unless they get rid of McDermott by then. As of now McDermott is just another Marv Levy.

2030 he can request a trade. Then it becomes who would he rather play for. Us or the 49ers.
A running QB at 34? He takes to many hits. He wont last to 37.

It's obvious Buffalo can probably keep Allen his whole career. It will be on Allen...and the question is how much money is enough?

McDermott is no Marv Levy.
I know Levy went “golden sombrero” for the SB (see what I did there, Allen2McVay?), but getting to 4 SBs isn’t easy. He was a very good HC who won a lot of other big games to get to those SBs.

Statistics say the mcdermott/allen combo won’t make it to one because they have missed the 5 year threshold. No HC/QB duo has EVER made their 1rst SB together after 5 seasons.

New movie on the Hallmark Channel. It's nice to know that the Bills have a Hallmark Channel Movie instead of a Superbowl win.

We have won an SB with a trade for an under-500 lifetime QB in Stafford, and our previous and only other SB win was with a QB with even longer odds for success.
The QB that has won the most Super Bowls was a 6th rounder.

The average SB QB winning draft position is somewhere between 62 - 70, with the data I could find

We hit gold with Stafford, but have never drafted a SB-winning QB.
During the SB era, 21 teams have drafted SB-winning QBs
16 QBs drafted in the first round have won the Super Bowl since 1957

The point to me is that the brightest minds in the history of this sport have not figured out how to solve this.
I believe you leave every possible option in play

Not sure if anyone cares, and it's likely they do not. posted only for fun since there has been a lot of QB talk.
Stats were gathered as best as I could.

I think we'd all love a 22 y/o QB as talented as Stafford. We probably would have to give up 3 1st round picks to get this guy because Stafford was a #1 pick who has rare talent.

Mahome's is as talented as Stafford and was the 10th overall. And we will have a pick as good or better than that.
It can be done.
Do not sell out.

I think it's only possible if the Bills start to have losing seasons every year until the time in question.

I doubt Stafford would have been traded to the Rams if the Lions were winners. But he played there a long time and we threw in a good QB plus 2 1st rounders. For the Lions it was likely a no brainer.
