Well fuck. Not only has Fuller been arguably our second best secondary player next to Ramsey, but if Jones doesn't come back for the playoffs, we're also losing our main green dot player.

He's overrated. Average NFL player at best. I think more time for Burgess is a net positive with his athleticism. The problem is though Nick Scott will be seeing a lot of time. We're weak at safety, outside of Ramsey we're weak at CB, we're weak at ILB. Our DL is good but we dont play the correct coverage on the backend to utilize their effectiveness enough. So very often they seem average.

Point is the defense isn't very good. That much should be plenty obvious by now. Dont think Fuller himself makes that big of a difference alleviating all these issues. We have too many holes.

Key injuries have ruined us every playoffs since Mcvay arrived. Kupp and gurley. We lost Brockers our only run stopper in game 2017. AD last year. Our only SB win we were almost injury free. Last year TB was totally healthy come playoffs. It really is our biggest bugaboo.

In McVay's press conference he indicated that Rochell might be back this week (possibly) and Ernest Jones was possible the week after. Not sure he wasn't just posturing, but there is some hope if we can get past the Cards at least.
