I really hope some of you that calling Martin soft and what not never battle severe depression or have a loved one that battles something like that. It's real and it's awful.

I'm honestly quite disgusted with some of the comments here. Hopefully they are simply made out of ignorance of some of the crap this guy was dealing with. Some things extend beyond football. And being a football player is hardly the measuring stick of mental toughness. I love football and played it for many years...not even close to the toughest mental test in my life. Not.Even.Close.
