JoJo is a special teams guy, and we are blessed to have him. Yeah we got him off the street, but he won't end up on the street when Pharoh returns, JoJo will play for someone if it;s not us,,,Maybe Kansas City?:death:

I don't see Cooper as a lock to beat out Natson next year. Jo Jo's size is a concern but it's what allows him to be so quick. Cooper is thick for a receiver and more physical. Neither is much of a regular offensive threat. Pharaohs may have more promise on that side of things but not much. He hasn't shown much as a receiver.

In the off season I suggested that Pharoah's running ability would make him a good option on the Jet sweeps. But, McVay would have to work him into the rotation for that to not be a tell.

Yeah Pharoh is on the bubble a bit with the Rams when he returns. Tried to point that out before, that he really isn't all that great as a depth wideout, back when we discussed this following his injury and many were doubting whether Jojo could help us. My point was that our return teams are OUTSTANDING at creating lanes and that Jojo would probably be fine in that role, which demonstrates how it doesn't guarantee Pharoh a job.

Rams are going to probably draft some DBs this offseason, maybe even a wideout who moreso fits what they want in upside, and many of those types have return abilities. Time matters too in all this, team control and whatnot, and next season is Pharoh's last under his rook contract. He's about timed out tbh.

Whatever happens the Rams will have plus return units. I am certain of that. Because in scheme and execution they do a great job.

Jojo’s punt returns in 2018: 12 for 206, an average of 17.2.

Pharoh’s punt returns in 2017: 32 for 399, an average of 12.5.

Jojo has looked beyond impressive to me. Hands are super-reliable, and give him some space and he is a true threat to break it. I used to be in Pharoh’s camp, but Jojo has won me over.

Neither one seems destined for much of a role in the regular offense. Let’s see if Jojo breaks one in the next few weeks, I bet he’ll win more people over. GREAT return against the Niners on Sunday.

Lastly... my 15-year-old son is about 5’8” and 150 lbs...Jojo is 5’7” and 150, give or take... just unreal. So funny when Natson helped pull up a teammate(Mundt, I think) and the guy just towered over him...

Makes you wonder how good the return team is overall. Fossil always has the special teams playing well.

Tavon - maybe best punt returner in the leauge for a few years
Pharoah- pro bowl returner
Natson- playing at a pro bowl level

Jojo is gonna get killed out there. He is way too small. I keep waiting for the ball to come flying out when he gets lit up. We've been very fortunate so far, but I feel like we're gambling big time with his tiny little ass out there.

Countess looked surprisingly good on kickoff returns too.

Love JoJo, his name and his story and that he played at Akron the Zips. Pharoh Cooper can also play WR and although Nick Williams does offers something in that regards, you save a roster spot with Cooper having the ability to play in the slot and return punts. Plus with Countess returning kick offs, it might lesson the load on Cooper.

Nobody and I mean nobody was tougher on Cooper than yours truly after the playoff loss, @OldSchool can confirm my disdain, but Cooper is an asset and as much as I love JoJo who has plenty of gogo I believe Cooper wins out, but we might not see this battle until next season.

@Selassie I makes a good point about Natson's size, however, JoJo (who does not love typing that?) utilizes the sideline well to his advantage and seems very smart as to not taking the hits.

It will be interesting to see what happens and who gets the call when Cooper gets back. Nevertheless, if they stick with Cooper, I'm sure some other NFL teams have liked what they have seen in Natson. He probably found himself a job next year.

We won't need to keep Natson. We picked him up off the street this year.
We picked him up off the street?

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.
He gave us a great return at a key point in the game that fired up the entire team and helped us win.
I just look at him as another talented player that our scouts found for us.

It means that he's not valued around the NFL. He's too limited. We don't need to roster him if Cooper is healthy next year.

Since we picked up Kurt Warner, "off the street" I guess that applied to him as well at one point.

Once Natson shows it on the field and if he keeps on showing it on the field he too will be valued around the league.

I guarantee it.

I don’t understand why more teams don’t have guys like Natson. Just someone strictly for the return game. It’s such a huge part and it’s just strange more teams don’t draft guys like JoJo for the return game. I like him a lot more then Cooper. He’s faster and has great hands. He hasn’t even bobbled one yet. Hopefully he sticks around.

It's as if we've got Scrappy Doo back there catching the punts.

I agree.

Cooper is a more well-rounded player (jet sweep distractions, WR, etc.)

I love what Natson has done, but he's more limited due to his size.

And one real hit and he's gone.

I agree... guys like that will always be around. When Cooper is ready, get him back into special teams and offense.
