I like it. He played solid ball for us and we needed to pay him. 5m for two is a solid deal both ways. And the incentives give us some insurance in case he breaks down.

All these mocks has us signing him at 1-2 million per year and that just didn’t jive with his market value.

And now let me take a moment to breath

Rams need a legit swing tackle and not the turnstiles they had last year and another backup interior lineman, looking at the draft for those or undervalued FA. Let Kromer go to work.

Perhaps lesson learned may be to at least try to resign players before FA Frenzy. Sullivan deserves the $$$ but pretty sure he would have taken a 2 yr extension for a lot less during the season. Same with Sammy - seems like we fell in love with him once there was outside interest when we could have had him all to ourselves earlier.

Pretty sure Sammy would have said thanks but no thanks to our lowball offer.

Sully though is a different story. Definitely should have locked him in before the frenzy.

Good deal. We kept an important cog in our offensive line, and we won't have to rely on Blythe/Eldrenkamp to pick up the slack (although I'm a huge fan of Eldrenkamp.)

No complaints despite me advocating for Ryan Jensen, who just signed a monster contract for an offensive lineman. Sullivan's deal provides safeguards for the areas of my concern in health. It's a relative bargain compared to the one handed to Jensen. Speaking of which, Jensen was a 6th-round pick in the 2013 draft, so maybe we can find and groom our own Jensen with one of our 5 6th-rounders.

Great... I really didn't want us to have to change anything about our starting O-line... We need depth..but we don't need a change in our starters...

I would actually still like to replace Brown. I think he is a good depth piece but i would like to possibly get a guard in the draft that could start for us cheap for a couple of years

Likely a deal they can get out of after one year since there are still some injury concerns with him considering his history and age. So curious what the guaranteed money will be.

I would have to think the future starter is on the way in this draft unless they think a guy like Blythe or Eldrenkamp can develop. Well, I guess this however would say that they don't think Bylthe is a starter because he should be starting by now, but Eldrenkamp still has time to develop.

Not necessarily. Blythe filled in very well last year. Maybe they think he just needs another year before starting. Maybe the long term plan is Blythe and eldrenkamp. I guess we'll find out late April.

Wow the NFL just got a 75% raise this year...

Like the re-signing of Sullivan though.

I was probably Browns biggest critic going into last season...

but he actually ended up playing really well last year....

a guard to compete with him wouldn't be the worst thing though

I was guessing as high as 3.5 MILLION A YEAR......The market is crazy. Wanted Sully back but, that's a lot of jack. He deserves every penny but, Rams can't afford all these new $$$ contracts. These one year prove deals are expensive. If Bythe is close to Sully maybe Rams should have went with him. I don't think he is very close.

Great signing and about where I’d expect his contract to be. Time for AD, where does this leave us as far as cap space now? $24mill?
