What people fail to realize and it just utterly blows my mind is how dependent ALL QB's are on surrounding cast.
Russell Wilson, some said was the MVP!!!! Dude shit the bed vs us in the playoffs.
Aaron Rodgers who hasn't done shit in recent seasons lit us up for what could have been 50 points.
Does this mean Rodgers is that better than Wilson this year? If so, why not recent seasons?
The answer is RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE. Wilson had a shit Oline and Rodgers had a GREAT oline.
People will very quickly agree with this argument because it is undeniable. Wilson's play was dependent on his Oline.
Now when Goff is analyzed the dependency concept is dismissed even though is is clearly demonstrated with Wilson and Rodgers.
So MVP Wilson deteriorated to garbage because of Oline, Rodgers revived his career with the rebuilt Oline.
But Goff deteriorated because he didn't study film, partied and just sucked.
Some people have really biased views and inconsistent logic.
I don't say this because I think Goff is necessarily a better QB than Stafford. I actually have always liked Stafford's skillset.
I just hope to God Mcvay gets his mind straight and thinks we are home free with our surrounding cost.
Some people claiming Super Bowl by this one move are going to be highly shocked if nothing else changes.
Did some fans see it that way? That Goff "deteriorated because he didn't study film, partied and just sucked"?
Yeah. I was not one of them and only after some reporting even considered the possibility.
Too many people are conflating the irrational criticisms of fans and the attention seeking whooores in the media with the legitimate and knowledgeable efforts of the team's coaches and FO personnel.
At no time in McVay's entire coaching career at any stops has he treated a single player as he's accused of treating Goff...and he didn't mistreat Goff, either, btw.
We'd have heard about it in the age where social media has such a profound reach and importance that simply unfollowing someone can lead to grownups talking about it as if it means something...
The very idea that McVay or any of the coaches or any of the FO did ANYTHING unsupportive of Goff prior to the 2nd Seattle game is just ludicrous. And even then, all that was said was a not so graceful lack of commitment.
This is not Martz blocking any trades of Warner and then saying to any and all suitors that Warner couldn't even hold a ball, anymore.
THAT is what that behavior looks like and McVay didn't do that.
If he had, Mike Silver woulda reported it by now... LOL.
