I just want touch on a few of the better players stats today, as I'm still not 100%!
* DB - Night-Train Lane -1952-53
Night-Train5.jpg

He only played 2 seasons for us until we let him get away to the Lion's! Why we let him go is beyond me !
In23 games he had 17 INT's for 307 Yds./and 2 TD's/a long of 80 Yds./He also had 3 FR's/for 26 Yds./ and 1 TD/ and 1 Safety.
In 1952 his Rookie Year he was #1 in the League with 14 INT's for 298 Yds./ A record to this day!

* WR - Az-Zahir Hakim - 1998-01
HAKIM2.jpg
He was a 4th Round pick,#96. And in his 4 season " YOU WANT TO SEE SOME STATS!
In 56 games he had 235 Targets/148 Rec./for 2032 Yds/a 13.7 aver./and 16 TD's/ w/a long of 85 Yds. NOT BAD FOR A #3/4 Receiver.
he also rushed 22 time for 143 Yds./and a TD./And BY THE WAY he had 112 PR's for 1280 Yds./2 TD's/ and a long of 86 Yds,
In 7 Post season games he had 37 Targets/21 Rec./284 Yds./and a 13.5 aver./to go with 4 rushes for 24 Yds./!!PR's/for 149 Yds./w/a long of 65 / a aver. of 13.5/ He also thru 1 pass for 51 Yds. and a TD in his career.
He was also named ST Player of the week twice in 1999 wk. #4 and in 2000 Wk. #9.
Dr.'s orders I have to lay down for a while, This Flu combined with my COPD is kicking my tail! I'LL BE BACK LATER!!

Hakim was electric. He may have dropped a few balls in his career, but he could turn short passes and punts into touchdowns with his shiftiness and speed like some of the best elusive runners I've seen. This video shows what I'm talking about (and gives us an early preview for tomorrow of a #80 that could do it all).

Man!! I hadn't thought about how many of our GREAT players wore #81!

Ron Jessie was one of my favorite players when I first became a fan.(he was my #9 all time Rams Receiver on my Top Ten list) Night Train was before my time, but a legend. So was Carrol Dale as a good TE. Pete Holohan was Hall of Fame material for two years. Az Hakim,- awesome. The legend Torry Holt, and even Kenny Britt is strong. My vote so far for our strongest number in our history.

Many of us are excited to see how Gerald Everett emerges in this, his second year at the TE position. He may join a long line of great Rams to wear the #81.

He had his moments last season.

I have a feeling he’s going to make big strides this year... and that would be a HUGE add to the offense.
