How many times were Rams receivers held? I counted a few with stretched jerseys preventing them from getting to ball or getting seperation. The announcers even called it a couple times.

There was an average of 9.84 Offensive Holding penalties per team league wide.
The Rams rank #25th with 12 holding calls called against their opponents. The Rams have had 10 holding calls go against them which ranks them at #17th.

The Rams have had 41 penalties called against them, which lists them at 28th in the league. The Steelers are #1 with 66 penalties called against them and the Titans are #32nd with 34 penalties called against them. Both those teams have played only 7 games.
Rams opponents have had 45 penalties called against them which ranks them at 24th. The Colts get the most penalties called against their opponents with 66. Interestingly the Packers rank last in refs calling penalties against their opponents with 34.

According to the next site the Patriots get the least amount of penalties called against them per game with 4.8, which should surprise no one. The Rams rank 3d with 5.1 penalties per game.

Yes they did. On a big gain late in the game. And, it didn't really seem like much of a hold. Not compared to the hold fest our dline was dealing with.

The league has changed the rules to make it harder to defend and has taken some of the violence out of the game, but I don't see a league-wide conspiracy with all the game officials to turn a blind eye to penalties when they see them. i posted a link to someone who thinks more penalties are being called. he made a line graph and everything.
The point isn't that the perception is that not enough penalties are called.
The point is that defensive schemes have created greater isolation on players, defenders are better attackers and with all the new technology, it's even easier to spot the proliferation of holding.
Essentially, the holds are more obvious and more prevalent.
How many years did we see Quinn get neck tackled on EVERY DOWN? He even needed back surgery.
And AD? He gets held so much that in the conversation in the media about how great he is, it is OPENLY acknowledged that AD is held on EVERY PLAY.
