I’ll just say coming out of ORA’s in 2024 The Rams were high on Derion Kendrick .I’ve always thought he was of value as a draft pick.As reading my post above I still think Ahkello was and is the better player by far !!! That’s not taking anything away from Derion.

I still think he has talent, but The Rams usually CUT(trade) Players like him.
Meaning like EJ53,Van,Cam,Lewis,ext going into there final year of a contract who they don’t see the big picture of there future.
—There’s just to many players he has to compete with, but will get his chance to prove himself.

—I’ll continue on as Jalen isn’t a RAM ,but will always be a RAM.Could he be a HOF CB ?? I think the talent was there, but he wanted to be bigger than the game. I like his maturity & how he has grown as a person.I’ll continue to say that, because it was cool to see. Then again IMO,it was like Todd Gurley.Walking on eggshells to keep the player happy.
Talib kept Peterson in some what check. It’s nice to have those DAWGS !! Always have to be careful they don’t attack you.

Eric Weedle will be a HOFer since he came back & won a Superbowl with The Rams.He was great with Jalen. Q. Lake says Jalen would be welcomed and nice addition.

Here's what I think. Find as many good players as possible......and I trust they have because their history says as much.......because you're going to need to fill a practice squad that will surely be raided by other teams. So in actuality, they're gonna need more than just the top 53 and PS. They're also gonna need guys to replace the guys who gets signed off the PS. Kendrick is surely of one of those groups.

Well imo it made sense in the way The Rams drafted in 2025 vs other years.

In a lot of ways it will be more about the system after the 53.
There depth is more quality & have filled needs moving forward into 2026 as well.

He’s been available for awhile now.The question is what’s the cost.

The Rams have moved on from Jalen Ramsey for a reason.Hunter Long wasted,But B. Young agent Zero is a Franchise player already for The Rams. He will bring in at least a 4th rd(3rd) if he doesn’t resign in 2 years.

I can’t see The Rams giving any capital to Miami unless they eat a lot of his salary cap hit.The again The Rams are pretty set a CB.

CGI - go look at some of the OTA photos. It gives a perspective in some ways the first days of training camp. The player that sticks out is number 25. He is everywhere. He is getting 1st team snaps. He is going to be a SHUTDOWN CB. His speed & cover skills really show up.He is very STICKY.He has big paws & might even be able to get a couple 1 handed picks. His length and arms are impressive.Ahkello is mentoring as well as Darius Williams. -You tell me your thoughts & if I’m getting way ahead of myself.

It’s KOOL-AIDE & I drink it more than Gatorade on Sunday & Mondays from a parting weekend. We can’t all be studs like you.I will try to get a day or 2 of training camps in.That said Cobie Durant is underrated.
-Go look back at game 1 of 2024.It’s all there for us to see & take in how good some of these Rams players are.I can’t go back deeper, but that game in general on Monday Night. The Rams were winning & Duarant skied HIGH & had an INT which would have sealed that game.He came down HARD(shoulder?).Was injured on the play, might have been the play of the season. That’s saying something game 1,but the ground & impact popped the ball out.He was injured.
BTW -Kupp got hurt ? Not sure when,or if he was playing hurt(next game?) he had the chance to clinch it.He couldn’t get free on 3rd down 1 on 1.The reason the rams cut him to start 2025.
.Puka got hurt the first qtr & didn’t comeback in the 2nd half.
Forbes wasn’t a Rams & The Rams had to sign Spoon at some point off the streets. They know he should’ve been a Rams & paid for it. Plus Kendrick wasn’t hurt out of the gate.
-Go look at the depth now & those young roster player who needed to fill in.The Rams and Mcvay like to build within.
-CGI you should know better than most though. The Rams & Mcvay NEVER talk bad about a player in his ERA. He always supports his players & he expects the same from them as well. When they get rid of a player, they don’t do it through the Media. When Mcvay says we haven’t had any open discussion or talks with Miami he means it.He’s not giving false hope & try’s to subtly close that window.Saying the door is not totally closed out of respect for Jalen & what he has meant as a RAM(player) !!

If the Dolphins thought they were in a strong position with him in terms of their options, they surely realize the truth by now.

Moving him has to happen, unless they want to sit on a malcontent who got into it with a coach. Which can erode your basic order and discipline on a roster. Or you just rip the bandaid off and make the other moves you need to make to suffer through it.

I suspect the only way Ramsey ends up in LA is if he is cut. But what's funny is he can tell teams he's not interested in, who might be willing to give Miami the best trade package, that he won't play for them which kills his value with prospective trade partners. So if trade is the plan then they have to let him be part of the process. If they want to get it done.

Yep, for the same reason that we only got a 3rd 3 yrs ago, they may be lucky to get a 7th.

The difference is we only got a 3rd because the Rams were trying to take care of Ramsey. The Dolphins are trying to take care of the Dolphins. The question is how much money are they willing to eat? My bet is "not enough".

Has there been any substantiated intel on any team seriously considering a trade for Ramsey (with his current cap hit)?

Now that Jaire Alexander is being released by the Packers today do the Rams turn their attention to him rather than Ramsey? It would cost zero draft compensation and might have to play on a one year prove it deal to show he's past his injuries. When healthy, I think he's better than Ramsey at this point in their careers.

So say Rams trade for Ramsey with a 2026 5th and a 2027 6th. How much are the Rams on the hook for with the remainder of his contract?
For '2025, His salary is 1.3 mill & he will receive a 19 mill option bonus, all guaranteed. He does have remaining escalators that could add another 1-3 mill.
From a cap hit perspective, that bonus will be prorated over the contract, either over 4 years or 7 if the void years are still utilized. At 4 years, it would be a cap hit of roughly 5 mill + the 1.3 salary, and the cap hit for '25 would only be 5-6 mill.
They would carry a dead cap in to '26 season of 13 mill where the rest of his contract is not guaranteed.
Which is why both sides would look for a new contract

If he refuses to play for someone that team won't trade for him. They will have to talk to him about his contract and he can essentially say, "I am not coming to your team"... not much more that team can do about it.

Played only 7 games each of the last 2 yrs... not worth the risk unless he comes cheap or on a heavily incentive laden deal and I doubt he does that.

The Dolphins can keep him on the roster and suspend him if he becomes a problem. Release him after the season. Good luck getting a team to offer decent contract at that point.

Maybe... I have my doubts with his injury hx but if Jaire signs with a Ramsey contender ala Dallas, that takes one more buyer out of the pot.

Jaire is a net positive here for Rams.

I'd say no unless its super incentive laden as Alexander hasn't been healthy for years now. Best ability is availability and Ramsey kills Alexander in that department.
