Forgot we re-signed him. But Durant is probably ahead of him since he plays the slot. I guess that Ramsey and Williams are the two starting corners.
That’s not going to be a good guess. Mcvay didn’t forget he resigned Ahkello.

I dont think Miami can afford to move him until after June 1.
Aren’t they basically going to pay him 1 way or another? That wasn’t The Rams contract? That was still a rich contract to carry for The Rams.

Dumb of me though, because what The Rams got for Jalen Ramsey in return is sort insane !

Yeah those first couple years he was also asked to be cb1 which most day 3 rookies are not prepared for.
would have been nice to see what Kendrick could’ve done last season.

The Rams were high on him.Once again ,not bringing Ahkello back hurt The Rams & almost eliminated them from the Playoffs.

WHITE was the biggest issue last season. Can’t believe the Rams got a draft pick for him.Shows the value of CB’s.

Spoon behind Forbes and Durant?
Josh Wallace & Cam Lampkins will be fighting for a rotation spot.

I get all The Hate for Kendrick, isn’t his money just about guaranteed ?
If not then, because of injury The Rams couldn’t cut him. I’m not a CAP guy.In general that is my understanding? Still coming out of OTA’s the reports were good.

I think you have it TOTALLY wrong about Ahkello Whiterspoon.WE all have are thoughts.I’ll venture back during the season for sure !!

IMO & from what I’ve seen at least from training camps during basic. Jalen Ramsey was more on The Left Side. Whiterspoon seems to be more Right Side.
When Darius Williams was with The Rams with Jalen he was playing RCB . He got hurt on that side during camp.

In the Superbowl Jalen got burned on the Right Side, but that IMO wasn’t in base D. ?

Since this thread is about Cornerbacks I would like to say that I am rather concerned about our lack of speed at the position. Don't get me wrong I do like how Darious Williams and Akhello Weatherspoon have played for us but I am not confident at all in their abilities to cover deep because their speed just doesn't seem to be there at this stage in their careers.

I am somewhat satisfied with Coby Durant but he might be the only one who I feel has that speed to compete deep.
Plus, I certainly know that Derion Kendrick is not all that fast either.

Hope I'm wrong but was really hoping for some help in the draft.....

Who is he playing over if we trade for Ramsey?

D. Williams-
Cobie Durant has been playing at a high level. Whiterspoon does have trouble with the Ty Hills & St. Browns. He does better against the J. Jefferson & AJ Brown types

I think we would run with Ramsey and two of Williams, Witherspoon and Durant, depending upon the situations and health. The odds that all four are healthy for all the games are low, so, like most positions with the Rams right now, they are building depth that would cover in case of accident.

As an aside, the glaring lack of said depth at the tackle position is scary, especially because it stands out so much when compared to pretty much every other position on the team (especially if they bring in another corner - Ramsey, Samuel, etc. ).

I think Williams and Witherspoon is a legit camp battle at best. I don't think it's a given.

Far enough. Looks like Mcvay & Pleasant were happy with there DB’(CB’s).

I know you get a lot of Haters & think they know best.I was like that last season with The Rams Free Agent signings & PISSED that Mcvay went the way he did.

What’s amazing to me is how it’s working out this season.
1. Couple years ago not signing Shelton to a 2 year deal.
-Worked out better than I thought.Limmer is a stud & The Rams traded Johna Jackson.Shelton is. Coming back with another year of NFL experience.

2.Alaric Jackson signed(thought extending him),I don’t know if The Rams could’ve would’ve? Both got a nice deal(win win)

3. Ahkello Whiterspoon not being brought back, but signing T. White.

-Long story short- Mcvay is excited to see what Whiterspoon can do having his 1st OTA’s as a RAM !!
His contract says he believes in himself & The Rams to win it ALL with him as a Starting CB!

I agree he has to Earn It!! The Truth is that he should be a team leader ? I have questions, but also know his mindset. It’s The Rams making the decisions.

Parkisian Higbee Allen & Ferguson should bring a different element to The Offense. That imo is a nice group. (Scott Huff should help the development as TE) New coach

My question would be if your concern is about depth.

What’s The Concern in 2024 vs 2025
at CB & Tackle ? BTW - OT as of now is a concern to myself as well.

For OT, at this time last year there was still a hope that Noteboom wouldn't be totally useless.

As for CB, I agree - currently not too different from last year, but I will admit last year didn't begin with the expectations we (maybe just I) have this year. I knew it would be a problem last year but, at the beginning of the year at least, and especially with no Aaron Donald, I only saw last year as a growth year for our young defense. This year, I'm hoping that defense can help carry us back to the Championship.

Scan the UFL for the best OT you can find. Might be able to find a swing guy.

I watched sone of yesterday's Birmingham game. First time watching any UFL games. They had a LT that looked good...obviously hard to tell considering his competition, but looked okay. I looked him up and his name was Armani Taylor-Prioleau. He has had multiple stints in the NFL. Measurables are 6-6", 310 lbs, 28 yrs old.

Take some flyers on guys like that. Now maybe he is an idiot and that's part of his issue...who knows, but you might be able to find a functional swing OT to compete with what you have.

Some folks just hate Ramsey just cause. No suspensions and was apparently a model teammate according to McVay. McVay has even called him a stud and talked about them being interested in Ramsey coming back but not even that is strong enough to kill the hate towards the guy. Kinda sad honestly but it is what it is I guess.
Ramsey homer!
