Jalen Ramsey on Stafford. You need to hear this!

Burgess showing out in the first couple days is really big news and a great indicator for our secondary. Have to think he wins that job opposite Fuller and expect to hear him taking first team snaps there hard and heavy.

I'm surprised by Rochelle's showing so far too tbh. Expected him to be a bit of a project but him competing for field time would be absolutely huge for the corner room. Hill wasn't some impossible to replace corner by any stretch but the flexibility he brought that is missing now has to be filled. After McVay talked up Long I was hopeful but judging from early reports we may require one of these guys to really step up.

Back to Burgess I wonder if they're considering him for the slot. Would require them to be happy with Rapp at safety of course. But outside of that do they see him in that role. I'd appreciate if you guys could note where they have Burgess lining up as we go forward, think that's a big piece of the puzzle in the secondary. :clinkingbeer:

Jalen what do you think of Stafford so far?

"I think he's challenging us (the defense). There's been good battles, good competition out there. There's been times where I felt like I covered the receivers well yesterday, and he's throwing them open in a sense. His ball placement is just super good. Something that I haven't seen from a QB in a while. It's like ELITE-ELITE. So that's one of the main things I've been noticing about him in these first couple days. And I cant wait to continue practicing and him making us better and us making him better."

That is quite the high compliment.

Ramsey doesn’t talk much fluff, so to hear him straight talk like this is pretty real.

Yea that's what I was thinking. That's why I wanted everyone on ROD to hear it.

It's not coach speak or media fluff. When you have a straight shooting no BS guy like Jalen,
who happens to an elite CB in this league

Talking about our QB being on a level that he has rarely seen?
That made my day.

Matt's ball placement, his ability to see the whole field and process situations almost instantaneously and his unreal arm strength will elevate this offense quite a few levels.
 
I'm pretty sure Matt's ball placement hasn't really changed since he entered the league.. we just didn't notice them in Detroit because of the cold weather. Now that he's out here swinging em in the Southern California sun, they are going to be more noticeable....
