I don’t like it.

Single digits are for smaller players. Ramsey is a badass. Not a little player.

Can you see Donald or SJD walking around wearing #8? No, me neither.

Guys just want to be different and if it makes the player feel more confident or like a new beginning for others new, that can be a good thing.. Espescially for guys already at the top of their game..
New numbers creates new jersey sales for the league... which probably occurred as a tiny drop in the bucket towards the money lost last season.

I feel like they will probably change the rule back next year and sell even more jerseys.

The single digits on RBs and DBs doesn't look as cool or professional but it is what it is.... the league already fucked up WR numbers with the teens... but maybe I'm just old fashioned. Regardless, jersey numbers are way down on my list of issues. The color gradient on the numbers will be getting the majority share of my negativity.

Kooky. Oh well, my Ramsey 20 and Woods 17 jerseys now have nostalgia value, hahaha...

I don't think I've ever looked at a number and thought it meant anything other than an easier way to identify who they are from a distance.

But I don't really care about a lot of the details regarding the uniform that others seem bothered by, all I noticed was how great they looked on the field when the play was happening, and that's all I really care about.

These guys could skip out onto the field in all pink for all I care, just as long as they win.

Perkins is 16. Hasn't been announced but he's been wearing it all during otas. The video is also tagged as Ramsey, sorry but I'm trusting them on this one
It still doesn't look like him. Compare the two photos. Ramsey's chin sticks out and he has a square jaw and very even complexion. The other photo is a different guy. Maybe Ramsey did switch numbers but that picture isn't him.

I hate number changes. For the first few games I'm trying to learn who is whom

Yeah, at first I sure didn't think it was him, either. Kind of a weird washed-out photo in very bright sunlight.

But look at the eyebrows, thin mustache and thin beard, long eyelashes, dreds, cocky grin... yeah, that's Jalen. Plus he's the only guy out there in blue leggings, lol.

In really important news Goff was wearin…..oops almost did it.

I like 5. I like single numbers. I think they make players look faster, like a Porsche v. Hyundai.

Maybe they should give out #1 through #9, in order of the nine fast players 40 times!

Akers was seen yesterday back in #23.

Maybe these guys are looking around and realizing they are all getting the same haircut and matching outfit? Number changes aren’t that special after all.

But the two photos don't make for a good comparison, they're very different. To start the new one is of his side profile while the older photo is more front-facing, that alone could change someone's image. Then look at the light source, the new photo is harsh, direct lighting while the other is at night, it's a smoother cooler picture. I don't know when the old photo was taken but it was definitely during the season, I would imagine that Ramsey's physique is different in June, this is his 1st day at camp, and the regular season. He's also smiling in one which challenges the shape of a face. Believe it or not people of color can "tan", and like most people his complexion will even out as summer progresses. I remember a few years back the team must have taken player photos early on because every player had some funky lines.

Why would they stage a photo with an impostor? Is that the real Ramsey in the video? Wouldn't he and the other players be weirded out by this? Seems like an odd thing to do.

Maybe someone looked for a photo and copied the wrong one. I still don’t think those two pictures look like the same guy.
On a Facebook pick there was a picture of Stafford in a number 9 Jersey. If you looked close it looked more like Bradford. It clearly was not Stafford. Maybe someone photoshopped the number on the wrong player?

I also saw a photo from the team's account of a photo of Stafford that many commenters said it resembles Bradford. It also looked like Stafford, though the odd angle and the helmet distorted his face. It doesn't make sense for the team to photoshop "impostors" instead of using the people right in front of them. Stafford is at practice, they're taking photos at practice..but they're photoshopping him? If you think they look like different people that's your opinion, but to suggest that the team is photoshopping Stafford or a Ramsey stand-in doesn't make sense and is a bit out-there.

Same guy. Now do this again but 6 or so months apart, change his attire, and angle.

There's some magic in the numbers when it matters to the player. These guys can be superstitious.

And for me personally I prefer the prime numbers among the low ones. So 5 is > 20.

I didn't like AD's #99 when I first saw it... thought it made him look too small. But after watching him play his rookie year, I bought his jersey for my son, and have grown to like it. And now AD has made that number famous in my book... just like Michael Jordan's #23. Pretty sure the team will retire it at some point.

Sure it makes sense. Just say the Rams PR department at Rams HQ wanted to get a picture of Ramsey with the new number. Do they send a guy to Thousand Oaks to take it or just pop it up on a computer? I’d think it would be quicker and easier to do the latter.
