2 words I’m hearing repeatedly: Explosive Offense
That's certainly a route that deserves consideration. Even if we go that route, Rams could technically go after a CB with another pick as well. Honestly adding a weapon and adding Ramsey would improve this team big time. I'm all for whatever improves our chances for another title since that's the ultimate goal.

This would be a good reason to add Ramsey. It takes CB off the needs list so they can focus more pics on making an explosive offense.
My respond was to the question “why can’t we use the R1.26 pick for a CB as well as trading for Ramsey”. My point being the chances of building a more explosive offense using picks R3.90 and beyond as well as taking on Ramsey’s salary were slim at best.

I could see Ramsey dominating at safety.

Ramsey has always been a hard hitting clutch player. Sure he’s declining as a cover guy but he can still track and high point a contested ball and intimidate WR’s into alligator hands catches.

He would be excellent in run support as well.

But it does come down to contract numbers.

If Ramsey can still play, I'd be ok with a reunion, but not for top dollar. Let's face it, a good young CB at #26 would be a lot cheaper.

But I trust in McSnead to make the decision and they know what will be needed to make a run at another title.

NONE !! & Why ??

This is not what The Rams need !! The best thing for The Rams would be to F-THEM PICKS again !!

I can see a Mid-Season trade again better than the Trades for Jalen!! I’d also a better player than Vin Miller !! Think DALLAS

Those three guys represent a combined $55M in salary cap for 2025! YIKES!!!

Not all of that $ would come over via trade but still ... YIKES!

Where would you play Trent Williams?

21m per. He’s not an elite CB now but he’s still a very good #1…
I hope he asks for his release. He still has a ton of love for this coaching staff. He’s close w/ D-Will also.
Rams still have love for Ramsey the person and player.

What says you?

I'm not for this move at all. He could disrupt the backfield the Rams have been building with faster younger players. I hope the Rams pass on this.

I hate the idea that this team needs to have a roster loaded with big names and all holes filled in order to win a Championship.

Keep the youth movement going McSnead.

I can't imagine us being able to land him for a reasonable price. No way in hell should we trade for him... but if they cut him and he wants to come play on a friendly it would be fucking kick ass.

He is a great teammate. He studies film on receivers like a mad scientist... hell, I even remember him giving tips to our WRs. He doesn't get enough credit for all he brings to a team. We'd be beyond fortunate to have him back in Horns.

It's just a pipe dream though. My guess is he still plays for the fish next season.

Some folks hate this guy so much they can't get past that and simply say he sucks. Its kinda funny. I'm not even saying he's the best CB in the NFL but he'd be much better than anything we have. He'd literally be our only CB with size if the Rams somehow resigned him to a decent contract. Guess some would rather have our shorties matching up with the AJ Brown's of the world lol..... we'll see where his story goes from here. Going to be interesting to see if he just gets cut as I can't see a team simply taking on his current contract.

Yep people always disliked how brash he was. There are all kinds of things we could do with the cap, and he would be significantly better than any rookie we could draft in 2025, which is out Super Bowl window at the moment.

I would give up a third for him without thinking twice. We are NFC favorites if we add him, even if he's only *just* a good CB1 these days as opposed to what he used to be.

If our FO was this would have been done right now.

They might not think Ramsey is done but not worth who the are targeting in the draft. Guarantee they have a plan at CB

There is some top tier CB’s, great mid tier value, and damned good developmental Cb’s this draft.

I don’t see Ramsey in our future whatsoever but appreciate what he did when he was here, it’s gone, let it go.

It takes 2 to tango and its possible Miami is asking for way more than teams are ok with giving since Ramsey is apparently drawing interest. Miami may not want to pay most of his salary, may want more compensation draft pick wise than teams are willing to give, and may be holding out hoping for a better offer since multiple teams have shown interest. Honestly tho, no way to tell if the Rams are interested since they keep everything close to the vest.

No reason the Rams would wait on a deal for Ramsey if they seen value for him which it's obvious they don't. This is a nice fantasy of those that like Ramsey but it's not going to happen with us for sure.

Our organization makes deals happen that are breaking news, not someone is unhappy and everyone knows about it and make a deal for said player, that's not our FO's MO for many years.
