I think Gruden may be out this week. If he survives it, I'd be shocked
Tough call...when he sent the scathing emails calling Rodger an asshole, he wasnt then employed by the NFL or any affiliate.

What is going on with Gruden? Didn't he still have 7 years left on his contract or something?

Nagy might save his job for a week or 2 with a big win over the Raiders today
I could have sworn you wanted to bet me that Nagy would be fired last week or so?

You are mistaken...you stated if the Bears lost to the Lions would Nagy get fired...and I wanted to be he wouldnt...but they didn't lose so the point is moot

If we want to be accurate and not joke about it, I said that he might get himself fired and that I didn't feel too strongly about it

I think his comments regarding Smith are the egregious ones

Mark Davis isnt going to pay up 7 years remaining contract. And he cant fire him for cause because the allegations are from before he worked for the NFL again. Gruden is going nowhere.

Meyer is out his depth and really SHOULD be first gone but I think Shad Khan is too proud to admit his mistake.

I think its gonna get real ugly for the Giants here with these injuries so I will go with Joe Judge in a clean-house type thing.

As Dieter pointed out it's the "other" comments that have the optics police outraged....And there's that tiny small little detail[no blue font] that it was sent 10 years ago. [eyeroll]

I don't care about Gruden or Vegas or anything Raiders but this falls into the category of bygones.

Urban Meyers' optics police situation is far far more relevant, and on top of that his team is headed in the wrong direction.

Voted for Meyer.

Here's that Zimmer postgame speech after an exciting walkoff win by his team. I don't think Zimmer could have fun with a stripper in his face tbh. Dude is a fucking dial tone. And btw if he is fired this season he will immediately be a slam dunk hire for whatever team is smart enough to prioritize getting him. Fun sponge or not he's a fantastic defensive mind IMO...

Dude is a fucking sonar ping....

A sonar ping is definitely more exciting than dial tone ... like one time when we did ops with another US sub and snuck up to about 900 yards and fucking *blasted* them with full power ... the headphones on the sonar techs of the other boat must've jumped off their heads.

Obviously Meyer, but I'll add that Carroll could lose his job/retire if a new GM comes in and decides to clean house.

I think Judge is the most clueless HC out there in terms of having control of his roster leadership-wise, which almost guarantees he's going to fail. But the GM might buy him time if he gets run out of town first. Voted for him.

Team with the worst expectations-to-reality differential is the Dolphins, who have given up 154 points this season. That's Flores' unit right there.

Right behind the Dolphins are the Colts in terms of falling short of high expectations, and Reich has a strong GM who won't fuck around if he loses faith in him. I don't think that will be the case with their OL issues but never know.

And the guy who has outstayed his position as HC at this point is Zimmer. Check out today's vid of his "celebration" speech. Talk about no feel and being a fucking fun sponge Jesus he'd fit right in with us in the gameday thread. :laugh4:
You ain't kidding . I tried the game day thread twice. Was as fun as cancer. Lol. Carry on.

Normally, I'm on the "this is actually serious" side, but not this time with Gruden.

I have heard others growing up refer to liars as having "rubber lips" or w/e it was. It's not racial at all.

And I fully accept when Gruden says, "it's not racial. I was calling him a liar." That tracks. Gruden has always hated D Smith and has been vocal about it until he became a HC and then such statements weren't appropriate.

The Meyer stuff... don't care he cheated or if he has an open marriage or w/e... as the HC, he's a distraction, he's not leading, he's not providing extraordinary scheme such that this crap can be reduced to "eccentricities"... he lied to his team's owner and to his team.

Unless he's gonna turn himself around and right quick, it has to be Meyer...

I'll add in that Meyer tried to delegate his speech to his assistant coaches to say to different position groups. He couldn't even explain or apologize to his entire team.

Meyer has to be fired, especially after his silly "perfect game" speech: no penalties (okay), no turnovers (sure), 250 yards passing (maybe a little low), 250 yards rushing (WTF?!). Meyer obviously is WAY over his head and obviously thinks in college terms if he believes that an NFL team - HIS NFL team - can get 500 yards of offense per game with half of that being rushing (which hasn't been done in the modern era).

I feel Urban will resign for health related reasons and to spend more time with his family (Bar) and I'm not sure if he gets another opportunity in college unless it's not a higher profile program.
