Yep. I don’t think Wade is going to want to go back to Denver and have his defense lay an egg. I think the D steps up and plays hard for him on his return to Denver.
definitely agree with you 100%. Players always raise their level of play when their coach plays against a former team.

This was just impressive mental toughness from Goff and the entire O, as well as Suh and the D in the 4th quarter. Anyone who thought Goff couldn't win under pressure was just flat out wrong. He had to put up 35 every game at Cal to get a win.

Last year the Rams weren't able to come back against the Seahawks in LA, after a game of similar adversity (wasn't that the game where on the first drive Gurley fumbled when reaching over the goal line and Seattle was awarded the ball?). Got off to a similar bad start on the road here on the deflected INT and then a reversed TD, as a result had to play catchup all day. But the Rams' O never blinked.

Apparently Saffold (and maybe others) talked McVay into going for it on the 4th down. So lots of credit to go around on that one.

Just think of all the times you wanted the Cheatriots to lose when the other team just stupidly gave the win away to them. That's us. Well except that we TOOK the win. I get the "strive to be the best" mentality, but eff it. Sometimes you just take a win where you get it 'cause that's all that matters at the end of the day.

Yeah, back in the day, Spags would've died for a win like this. Fish would've used a win like this to try to con us into believing he wasn't a crap coach. Now? It feels like a loss?

It's great that there's heightened expectations. But after a decade of crap, where the Rams were on the losing end of almost every games like this game, I'm going to savor this win as a win!

Plus, I'm adding style points to the win. In addition to the adversity that the Rams had to overcome, let's look at how the Rams ended this road game: 4 straight runs, a sneak, and 2 kneel downs -- all ground, bleeding the clock, letting the home fans watch their own slow death.
------

FWIW, 538's statistical analysis had this as a pick 'em game.

1999 Rams went 6-0, then lost 2 straight close games on the road. It happens in the NFL. Losses happen. But, that team went on to the Super Bowl, right?

Having said that, I'm one of few hoping for 19-0. Let's make this season beyond belief. Beyond special!

What radio thing? Fill me in

Someone here reported that McVay said the Rams radio headsets kept going out or something to that affect. It sounds like Pete took a page from Belicheats datasheets and sabotaged the visiting teams radio communications.

Think of those times whena terribly coached, talent depleted Rams team would whoop on the Seahawks during their recent glory days.
Yup... I commend McVay asking Fisher for his secret to playing well within the Division and ignoring his suggestions elsewhere.
:ROFLMAO:

A win is a win... after all these years of disappointment, I'll take wins in any manner, shape or form.

Onto DEN!

Watching the Chickens the last 2 minutes chomping at the bit to get the ball back? Only to bring Goff back onto the field to reach into their chest and RIP their fucking heart out? NO way that feels like a loss. Incredible win!

Barring the injuries this was a fun/exciting game to watch. I hate the Shecocks so would have loved a blow out. They were amped up - so this was a do or die for them! Although they fought a valiant fight - they died in their house!

For the Rams - there will be other tough regular season games this year so this was a good gut check game for Goff/Woods/Defense!!

The SeaPigeons were hungry for that game, that was their Superbowl. They had a game plan and they did their best, and we still won. That was a real gut check for the Rams to learn to deal with adversity. That's where champions come from.

Honestly, I enjoyed that game. Nothing like a little adversary to get the blood going. It would be boring if we cruised by every game.

Guys, there is a target on us! Every team wants to be the one that takes down the team on top, or at least will be motivated to not get embarrassed. Teams aren't going to bend over and spread their cheeks for us, or sit on our huge dicks.

So, anyway, maybe a different metaphor next time; one without such the graphic visual? Maybe something like, Teams aren't going to serve us pancakes, or sit on their chairs instead of huge dicks? I was eating when I read this too!

I don't know what you watched, but I saw a Seattle team desperate to end our streak. I saw a team on a two game win streak; inside one of the loudest places to play. We humiliated them last year. But we aren't the same team and neither are they.

We lost two receivers to add to a list of injured players; our kicker, pro bowl Punt retuner, and starting cornerback. We weren't as sharp, we looked like crap. But despite all of that, we won. And we did it under our own power.

Its only going to get tougher from here. Tom Brady once said it's hard to win games, and he's not lying. We won ugly, but we still won. Sean McVay decided to take matters into his own hands and trust his offensive line. And it paid off. Goff said they are building something special and I agree. That was adversity, and we came out on top.

I feel more comfortable keeping a streak alive that way, than blowing teams out. Because now we've proven, we can come from behind and still wax that ass. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
By the way. Goff lead them on a 4th quarter come from behind win. Just saying. The rams answered back every time. That is clutch people.
