Is there a timeline on Legatron's injury? Sam Ficken needs to go.

Sam Ficken has leg power but no accuracy. Week 3 against the Chargers he got a free kick from 46 yards because of a timeout which allowed him to gauge his kick which went left and then he actually kicked for the game and it went right. And now this week he missed an easy chip from 28 yards.

The team either just needs to go for it at 28 yards or pick someone else up.

I haven't found anything online for Gregs time for his injury.

I wanted to bring this up as well. He's absolutely dreadful. Can't we get a competent veteran? The Vikes picked up Bailey, why cant we go grab a Blair Walsh or someone else that can make more that 33% of their FG attempts

Honestly? I'd pick up Daniel Carlson. Yes, he's a rookie, yes, the Vikings cut him, but I still see something in him. I still think that Ficken is better than a Blaire Walsh or a Roberto Aguayo.

We have been spoiled by having such an amazing kicker as Zuerlein.

But did we have to go in the complete opposite direction with this guy.

Yeah i'd like a veteran in there too until GZ returns. That chipshot miss last night was critical in terms of how the game could have unfolded late. Make that chipshot and the Vikes are buried at that point. No need for 2 minute heroics on defense for our guys.

I won't blink if Ficken is missing 50 yard bombs, that's fine...but i want a guy who can nail the 35-40 yarder with his eyes closed and NEVER send a kickoff out of bounds. That shit can kill you late in games.

I don't think it's too much to ask from the fans, like myself.

If Bailey can kick well enough the job is his the rest of the season and maybe beyond.

Some of these "competent vets" and I wouldn't even call them that - have more than one team interested. Rams can't offer the same opportunity they'd get elsewhere. As soon as GZ is well they're back on the scrap heap again.

Okay, @jrry32 and I have been pounding the table for Cairo Fernandes Santos...Very accurate and the one weakness is his kick offs, however, Hekker already he can do that and he's punting far less. Again not posting that Santos cannot kick off, however, in fairness the Jets released Santos because he was not 100% healthy and saved some money too...If Santos is now healthy I would bring him in, he's converted 90 of 107 FG's with a career long of 54 yards.

Not sure bringing another Kicker in temporarily will make a lot of sense unless GZ will be out for remainder of the season. Ficken can get the touchback on kick-offs and can kick from the FGs from the 15 yard line (same as XPs). Ficken should probably never attempt a FG beyond the 30 yard line due to inaccuracy - so a Hekker punt inside the 10 if they are outside of the 30 - and - going for it on 4th down if they are inside the 30 sounds good to me. I believe giving our offense more 4th down plays in the right scenario would net some positive results.

No team needs annual injury issues at the kicker spot. Greg needs to get in shape or have better luck or whatever the case may be.

As far as Ficken goes....she didnt give good head the last time we dated her, so why date her again? The fact that he's around in baffling. Rams need to update their contact list..
