Hey guys. I haven't been active much on here the last couple years. Life has been too busy. I've always lurked though, and catch as many games as I can.

I saw a few uncharacteristic drops from Kupp last night. Stuff he always catches. While I certainly don't think he is "done" by any means, do any of of think it's an omen to come? I think he just had an off game. Hopefully I'm not wrong.

I'll call it an off game.

A streak of bad luck, he was injured came back got injured again and seems to get nicked often. That shoulder injury early in the game had some impact on the rest of game.

Kupp is still working himself back to 100%. While his YAC is improving it’s obvious Kupp is still nursing injuries that are keeping him from his 2021 levels. Kupp at 80% is still a top NFL WR but I believe that’s where he is right now.
Gotta agree there. I'm sure he's been toughing it out while getting healthier little by little.

Hopefully, they can give Cooper a lighter load in the game against the G-men so he can be much fresher for the Showdown! in 'Frisco in Week 18. Puka, Tutu & Company can give the G-men more than they can handle.

Agree as well.

He doesn’t look 100% on every play.

I wonder if it’s a conditioning thing. Maybe he is winded. Body not used to full speed for 4 quarters. His cuts also look a little less sharp then previously.

He does seem to look a little better each game though and he was definitely banged up vs the Saints. Looked like tricep or forearm.

He's not 100%. He's not separating or breaking tackles as well as he usually does. It's not surprising considering he's playing through a lower body injury.

I noticed that most of the passes to Cooper were on the edges of his catch radius. Therefore, many of them were difficult catches. IF you compare to Robinson, all of his receptions were in his wheelhouse. That's a big difference. Also note that Stafford almost overthrew Kupp on the long , open, TD against Washington last week. Something is off between the two of them ; it's not all Kupp

He has a hitch in his giddy up. Something is not right.
Right now, I say feature Puka and let Kupp benefit from the extra attention Puka gets.
Because right now, Puka is better.
Glad he is a RAM!

Ive been saying to myself he seems slow. But another poster pointed out here the catches Cooper was trying to get several were bad throws especially the one in the end zone the ball was too far. Same with the TD throw to the right pile on. But to me he seems off.

No idea what's slowing him but I agree with the sentiment he's not the same guy. Also that last game he got fucked over by a couple key passes being just at the far end of his catch range. But I do think he's better than he was when he first returned. So hopefully that improvement continues, we're definitely going to need him at his best if we want to get in the playoffs and wreak a little havok.

I went back and watched the game again and concur.

The throws were “just a bit outside”.

Both the TD throw attempts. Also, the 3rd down attempt over the middle.

It really looks to me like the timing with Stafford and Kupp is still not there. But it may be because Kupp is not breaking as quickly as before.

he did take a helmet hit to his left elbow early in TNF game...he was hurting from that for sure

Yeah sounded like the stadium turf issue is tough on him trying to get back to 100%. He'll get a good rest and then be ready against the Giants. Their turf was one of the worst in the league. Players were always complaining about it but they supposedly fixed the issue this year.

He plays a tough physical style. He's over 30 now so I hope McVay will spell him more.
