Because Chicago's defense is what is keeping them from winning games?

I think with Nagy being an offensive guy and their offense being so bad, really for his entire tenure outside of a few random 4, 5, 6 TD games from Trubisky, is the reason he will be fired after this season.

After I posted who. Wanted Trub,I saw over and over it was Pace whom wanted him.

They’ll start over with new coach and GM. Wouldn’t shock me to see Harbaugh come home.
You may well be right, but the dude is loved, I mean really loved in Michigan.

Don't see him leaving. Jmho.

Al Swearengen is possibly the greatest character ever not named Tony Soprano. He's right there with him too. Do yourself a favor and watch those 3 seasons of Deadwood. You will NOT be disappointed. That series was cancelled over a decade ago by morons. They just released the Deadwood movie last year to tie things up as best they could. It was OK.
I loved I mean loved Deadwoid.

Imho watch Game of Thrones and you'll see 10 20 Characters better than Sapronoes. Show didn't make more cash than Anyone for No Reason.

G.O.T best show ever.

Agree to disagree on that. Loved GoT, but Sopranos, The Wire and Deadwood are on another level for me.

In Football timeline Staley was an Outside LB coach 8 Weeks ago. He has been a D Coordinator for a team for 8 games. Crazy to even talk about him as a head coach. He has been phenomenal, no matter what some old still living guy says, but still that is a HUGE jump from coaching a single room full of what 8 Outside Linebackers to a Head Coach.

Sean McVey effect on full display. (I hope I am not coming across like I am downplaying the outstanding job Staley has done).

OK, it seems clear that we have similar tastes, so I would respectfully add Walter White to this mix. That is all.

Gustavo Fring kicks Walter White's ass every day as a character.

Good fit for da Bears if the Rams defense finishes in the top 5 or 10.

If the Rams defense finishes the season top 8 in defense or maybe even top 10, we all know Staley will get more than a few offers from the Bears interest.

If the Rams finish the season top 10 in defense, Staley will have his pick of the litter with at least 3 of the top 5 NFL coaching vacancies.

You should always take the money and run if you're a hot offseason coaching candidate.

His NFL coaching flavor will depend on how the Rams play defense over the last 8 games, not the first 8.

Not going to happen IMO this year as I don't see the Bears firing Nagy. Also there are far more deserving hires with better resumes. Staley does comes across well, however, it's his first year as a DC and I believe Owners are going to want a larger body of work.

Just because he was a former Assistant doesn't make him number one on their list, plus Matt Nagy has a career record of 25-16 so unless the Bears collapse this is some wishful thinking.

I can’t see losing him yet. For starters, he’s been our DC for 8 games. Just start with that.

Second; no matter how impressive the defense, it is not exactly a bare cupboard with Donald and Ramsey. If I am an owner, I want to see a larger body of work.

And I never thought of the point by @jrry32 being a defensive coordinator he’s less sexy... and that probably makes it even more important the resume is deeper.
