Why not, we did last year, remember? Ogletree was acquired from a trade down with Atlanta. We had the Skins first round pick #22 and traded it for #30 and a 3rd rounder that we used on Bailey.

We also got the 6th rounder that we used to trade back up into the 5th for Stacy.

Yes, if you're trading for a franchise player you have to use your pick, not a pick acquired from another team.

.
Yeah if the pick you surrender for signing a tendered player it has to be yours not one from another team in the same round

Well what you could do is trade your high first for a low one and a third,then sign a FA and the team getting the pick would get less. In the end FA isn't so players will move it's so the league won't get sued for prohibiting it.

Imagine what the situation would now be if Indianapolis had taken RG3 and the Redskins had taken Luck instead of the other way around. Would the Redskins have been in such dire straits as they are now? It would have greatly impacted the Rams choices going forward in the 2013 and 2014 drafts.
