@dieterbrock

Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean it isn't true.

It's America. People get shot all the time.
This guy gets away with this kinda shit all day around here and I don't get it. Why is he still here? As far as his "echo chamber" comment, he literally celebrated the killing of a differing voice to his. He must love it over there in his country of censorship.

And taking shots at USA on today of all days is all time low class.
If this guy belongs on this forum, I need to question why I do also
Just an utter disgrace all around

I think I need a break from this place for a while, haha. It's getting weird...

Yeah, I am starting to question it as well. I've been here since the boards inception but man... There are some rotten apples in the bunch.

Did not every country say on 9/11 the following: "On this day, we're all Americans."? Much like during the 7/7 bombings, we were all British? Much like during any horrific attacks on another nation, we all come together to mourn and show solidarity and unity for that nation?

Whether it's by being shot, stabbed, or any other death that causes horrific pain, it is still a brutal way to die, and nobody deserves that.

Just follow rules. No political posts. Even RIP posts can be political. Zero tolerance on political topics should include people who famously engage in political debate. It’s easy to enforce.

Isn’t the idea to not even broach a political topic, so we keep this forum civil and not offend ANY MEMBERS? It’s the simplest way to prevent anything like this.

The post should have been shut down. It was the best and easiest solution. Everybody in the world knew about the incident involving Kirk. There’s no reason to bring it up on a football forum.

And now you have your answer....we are all together in our love for a football team. But, realistically we all differ a ton in our core beliefs. And some of us are too argumentative for our own good and don't know when to just shut the fuck up. Easier to check out of a conversation than it is to get into a heated debate that will change neithers mind at the end.

We congregate here to talk about football and light hearted "other" topics. But nothing here should have such passion involved unless it's about this team. Go Rams

I guarantee I’m the leftiest of the lefties here (all maybe 3 of us) and I read the entire thread and was beyond dismayed.

This doesn’t need to be a football board for people here to expect a reasonable respect for humanity and human life.

A man was shot and killed in a targeted attack. That’s wrong. Period. His widow and children will be traumatized by this forever.

NO ONE on any side needed to eulogize, lionize or demonize him. As a deeply political figure, anything beyond RIP is beyond the scope of this forum.

We don’t need to hear what an awesome dude he was or what a piece of shit he was or anything in between because that’s not an RIP post. That is the act of inserting one’s politics.

I don’t give a shit what anyone’s politics are and no one should care about mine. Too often, members insert their political views because they feel entitled to do so and it just makes life hard on the Mods and makes this a less fun place.

An RIP thread should be like making the pass at his casket…what kind of asshole would stand there and go on some screed whether pro or con instead of just paying their respect in a dignified manner and MOVING ON?

Just starting a thread on it is inserting one’s politics.

It’s the simplest of rules. No politics. It’s not as if we post a RIP thread for everybody famous that dies. We’d have two or three every day if that was the case.

One reason I liked this forum was the no politics rule. It could all have been avoided by deleting the post.
