This is why I'm still ticked that we couldn't get Anquan Boldin on this team. I don't think he would have let the young WRs get away with a lack of effort. Unfortunately, our veterans were the guys most guilty of quitting on routes and running half-assed routes.

Idk it seem like a lot of stuff is missing. When did this off day occur did he just call guys up the day of or did they plan it out in advanced. Was this when he was drafted and Keemun was the starter. It seem like he could have elaborated more. If this is true and it happened while Goff was the starter and it was planned in advanced then yeah I would be pretty disappointed in them as well

If there is any truth to any of this, I guaran-damn-tee this will not be the case in 2017. This coaching staff won't put up with any BS. You want to be employed you better show up every day with your lunch pail and be ready to go to work. The days of the "Jeff Fisher Country Club" atmosphere are gone.

It was probably September 12th and since he wasn't on the active roster, he probably was looking to chuck the pigskin around. Unfortunately the rest of the guys had to wear the uniform that day and not score any points against the 49ers

Not sure where to start with this rumor but these are the immediate thoughts that spring to my mind in regards to the players IF this is true... just moving past the fact that Cole is a gotcha journalist...

What I remember about the veteran WRs on our team this season:
1) Britt and Quick flipping a go kart at training camp

2) Tavon Austin playing Pokémon and getting overpaid

3) Lance Kendricks dropping a game winning touchdown against Miami

4) Kenny Britt dropping several drive killing passes.

5) Tavon Austin catching a beautiful rainbow pass in the endzone from Goff against New Orleans.

6) Brian Quick being irrelevant like his entire career.

That's all of the immediate, distinct memories I have of this past season when it comes to our "veteran" receiving core. In other words, nothing but immature bullshit with the exception of one beautiful touchdown courtesy of Jared Goff more than anyone else. So yeah, IF this is true I won't miss any of these tools when they are gone.

Great post. Outside of Fisher and his handeling of the offense the WR's lack of effort (Britt and Quick) Was the most frustrating thing watching them half adding routes ( and not ones where a run was going to the other side of the field, ones they were more than likely getting the ball due to matchup) Fuck both of them.

I want Garcone and either Stills/Wheaton/Boldin this year to top off our WR's which will be affordable.

Give me Boldin at 36 over Quick/Britt any day and twice on Sunday.

There's a video in the link that says Goff tried to get the receivers together on an off day and not one receiver showed. I know the reputation Jason Cole has, nonetheless, if there is any validity to this I will be pretty disappointed with our guys.

Disappointing....if true....
Some BIG TIME ass chewings need to happen ASAP at a minimum.
More likely, people need to get benched, cut or traded.

Goff with a bunch of receivers, but he didn't have all of ours with him. If this is true, then I hope the coaches ask them what the fuck they were doing instead.
