I'll take the young guy and pass on the old man, even though Carroll is a young 70, he's still 70.

Hey @OntarioRam you've kinda won me over with your well-thought out posts pointing out McVay's flaws. I'd now agree he has some bad tendencies (especially regarding predictability and a willingness to abandon the run too early).

Having said all that... I gotta say this recent five game win streak has renewed my faith in him. Five years, five straight winning seasons, on the verge of the #2 seed. And he's been committing to a power game with Michel more, lately.

I am most definitely a fan of McVay. Just curious, what would it take to convert you over to the "fan of McVay" camp? Is it SB win or bust?

Cheers
I just want to see good coaching when the games really matter. Not completely abandoning the run game when it is working. Not burning time outs recklessly. Not making curious 4th down calls. Etc. There is no need to win a Super Bowl to have me put my pitch fork away. It's a competitive league, and lots of other great rosters with brilliant coaches are out there too. Sometimes, you just get beat.

I love what I have seen from McVay during this win streak. He's slowly winning me over. But the Rams and I have been down this road before with McVay, when he seems to finally learn from his mistakes, but then playoffs (or just huge regular season games against physical opponents) arrive, and suddenly, he goes back to his "roots", and is way too pass happy. Hopefully, this time is different. I've got a huge plate of humble pie ready, and I'm darn hungry because I've been waiting years to eat it. I am keeping my fingers crossed McVay can serve it up this postseason. He's a very good coach. Great, even. But I do have concerns his flaws might be fatal.

I saw this poll and went

Is this guy just messing with our mind?

And then I saw 6 people choose Carroll?

My response .... Idiocracy will become a true movie

You mean a documentary, and way sooner than 500 years from now

High praise indeed. Always wanted to produce the best of something, so biggest troll poll ain’t bad in my book!

…and it all started with “I wonder how to post a poll? Never done it. But let’s make it a no-brainer…”

Would you rather I put up a “Was Stafford worth the picks” poll instead?

Sometimes it feels good to get a layup and not have to hit the contested 3.

Go Rams!

If it's truly a troll post then you obviously know the answer and that it's not even close. If you think it's a legitimate question, then that's nothing to be proud of for any reason.

As for Stafford, after only 16 games with his new team, he is top 4 in tds, yards, qbr and the best 2nd half qbr in the league, so yeah, that poll is also pointless, unless you think there's a better qb at the end of the first round in April or that Goff was still a viable option.

Ya Petey sure knows when to dial up a passing play....
But ya I'm glad McVay is trusting Michel so that the P/A passes have some bite to them again. It was easier when we had peak TGIII, who was a threat on every play. Getting Akers back should really help.

lets put it this way.... prob 90% of the league would give us like 3 years of first round picks to take him.

Thats no exaggeration.
Yeah.
I'm going to keep the Coach, that gets his staff raided every year.
