That was a very depressing loss. I felt it. Big time. Felt fixed like they planned on the Eagles to win. NFL/Refs/Possible Coach McVay and Possible Stafford. Felt like the fix was in. NFL isn't a sport it's entertainment.

I would hope that it's not. That somehow the what you see by players and staff are real. Not a preset plan. But really felt that way.

Come on man. I understand the frustration but ... Come on

Its the NFL and defenses are PAID to do their jobs.
No mercy, ever.
Who cares about "feelings" ??
I dont think McVay has ever let up to protect feelings or show any kind of mercy.
They just have been frustratingly unable to put teams away at times it seems.
They wasted no time going for the TD in the 2nd half, giving them the 19 point lead

We had this game. It was ours with a high percentage FG to win the game and our kicker was blocked from 41yards. We can all argue about McVay's play calling, but none of that would have mattered if we made that kick.

The other true statement is that no lead is safe with McVay as HC. He doesn't like to pile on the other team when we are up two scores or more. It doesn't matter if the other team is good or bad, he changes the play calling that often results in 3 and outs or FGs. Then the other teams race up in scoring to cause us all heartburn.
This was the worst Rams' loss in the regular season that I can remember. I am not watching any sports show this week at least, maybe more. I may not post here much...we'll see.

if we didn't drink the kool aid we might realize we have an oline problem. teams never get far with oline issues. special teams are glaring as you shouldn't have to worry about that too much except for your kickers. the offense oline is no different, even after all these years trying to get good olinmen and deep at the position we were very poor in the evaluations and purchases. sure, we can scape by, win a bunch of games maybe even, but what we saw against the eagles proves that we are not going far with this oline soon enough. then Stafford is gone and a new qb with a bad oline awaits him. why the bad oline play? its not like it sneaked up on us. Whit was gone and we knew he was leaving. since then, how'd that go?

Be glad you don't live in the Philly market. For me it went from being a glorious week, listening to local shows as well as the national ones, to now shutting everything off and focusing instead on my stock investing, fishing, and making dumb comments on here.

But we didn’t, though.

If you go back and watch those games, it was backups fighting to score, not McVay pressing to drop a 50 burger on purpose. He’s never pressed when up 3 scores…ever. He’s always gone conservative and this isn’t the first game that’s gotten away from him doing that.

We just have to make peace that he’s never gonna be that guy who presses for 60 minutes and will score as much as he can.

All of our 50 point games have been happy accidents except for the 54-51 game against the Chiefs.

This is not even close to correct. Right about the 50 burgers, but the three score comment? Not even close to correct.

There is the example in question - Gurley scored our last TD to get the game to 48-10.

Then SEVERAL more where he kept the offense going once up there scores:

2017: Colts, Cardinals, Giants, Seahawks, Texans - all games we won handedly - the starters played most of these games. The Texans game was closest at 33-7 (four scores)

2018: Cardinals twice and Niners twice - second Niners game, we were up 45-17 going into the 4th quarter

2019: two four scores wins where backups didn't play - at Falcons and at Cardinals

2021: Giants, Jaguars and Texans (ran it up to 38-0 before backups came in). Bonus: Cardinals in the playoffs, won by four scores, starters were in

2022: Broncos game

Ram Brother I hear you. I place the results of the game on McVay. This one hurt after settling for FGs over TDs in the first half. IMO I'd like to see McVay switch things up against a few of these teams that seem to have his number.

Hope you're managing life for your family and you the best you can.

McVay cares too much about pissing teams off. He thinks about relationships and how they will be effected. He is planning for life after coaching. He isn't hungry for blood....and it shows when we let that shit happen this week. See you soon @Loyal I quit these fuckers atleast 2 times every 5 years ...I make it about a half before I tune in.

I’m feeling the same way. That game will come back to haunt them at the end of the year.
Still feels like a gut punch

I get it Loyal. That was a tough loss.

Hope you are back soon and health gets better.

This is one of those games I won’t be rewatching, it was that maddening.

Regarding play calling, Stafford was a bit off this game and If some throws are made and/or refs called it right… then we win and Mcvay looks like a genius. WR’s were wide open for the taking and Mcvay totally outcoached Fangio.

Mcvays biggest error was keeping Limmer in. Keeping Limmer where he is on the depth chart actually. It’s mcvays patience and loyalty such as Tutu, Limmer that kills him.

Why did we not take an IOL or CB in the draft or free agency ? It was a glaring spot to address.

Wife took the 2 little kids with her to visit her mom last weekend. Left me and the 17 year at home "unsupervised" to be bachelors for the weekend. We had a great time hanging out in the quiet house. My 17 year old Thomas and I have bonded over Rams football since the arrival of McVay. Watching the Rams Play is one of our favorite things to do together. Before the McVay hire everyone in my family just thought i was a masochist (including the dog - - Dog still does)

When Rams football finally arrived on Sunday we were amped up for revenge against the birds. Could we stop Saquon? We were both confident we could. But Win or Lose, we were ready to see our Rams take on the defending champs in their house and put up one hell of a fight.

Start of 2nd half - when we went up by 19, I was telling him this is what watching the Rams during GSOT was like. No matter the obstacles, or set backs (penalties/turn-overs/bad calls), the GSOT just shook it off and murdered whoever they were playing anyway. It was like the last negative play never happened.

Then the Quicksand took over, and you could tell Philly was going to make a run. A #1 seed type team can take another team's best shot; get back up and deliver two harder shots back at them.

Losses suck. I can handle most of them. Even last year, when the record was shit at the beginning of the year, I had a feeling they'd get their shit figured out and make a run.

This loss hit different. It wasn't a loss. It was a collapse.

This game hurt because I allowed it to ruin a special weekend I had with my son. We were both upset.

I think all of us get too invested sometimes. If a loss hurts this bad, you have to examine your personal life, and re-check all things "work/life/balance". It's just a game.

I have been fixing what I can fix in my own life the last few days. Good rest, good work, and good exercise. Fans are fanatical. And being fanatical can fuck you up if you let it.

I'm feeling better. I'm not even looking forward to the Colts game this week - Sunday will get here when it fucking gets here. I'm working on my self this week. When Sunday kick-off time does eventually come around, I will be excited and watch my Rams and their 2 headed Montgomery/Gibbs style rushing attack murder some baby horses.

Got to wrap this soap box confessional up, so I'll say this: Misery loves company. But let's stop being miserable.
Us fanatics have Champaign Problems.

Go Rams.

Alaskan Ram, that is how true Ram fans feel. Just like the Ram players and coaches we have to suck it up and move on to the Colts. I feel your pain, but it is time to suck it up, learn from it and get ready for the next game. A philosophy I have always lived by is: "How are you going to react when someone punches you in the mouth? Are you going to stand up and fight or lay down and die."

If the really tough losses in the really big games did not hurt so much, the fantastic victories in the really big games would not be nearly as special.

In order to fully appreciate and enjoy the Good, you have to experience and understand the Bad.

Consider the 2021 NFC Championship Game. Think how a life long Niners’ felt (and still feels) about their team’s 4th quarter collapse that cost them a trip to the Super Bowl. Then think about how a life long Rams’ fan cherishes that game.

I’m 65; and I still haven’t let go of the ‘74 and ‘76 Conference Championship losses in Minnesota. However, I have a dozen Amazing Memories of Rams’ victories in huge games.

It’s tough to win in the NFL.
Enjoy every win.
Don’t take any game for granted.
Enjoy the journey.

And eat your vegetables!

I used to take losses like this one very hard. Losing sleep. In a bad mood for a whole week. But now I've learned to mellow out. I slept like a baby Sunday night. Woke up every two hours and started crying.

I feel like McVay called a great game and players didn't make the plays that should have been made. /shrug

This. How many easy (for Stafford) throws did he miss? I’m not sure what was going on but he had a number of sailed passes that should have gone for first downs. He was off.

Including a sure TD to Adams on a short slant.

Stafford mentioned it in his post-game-comments, calling it an "easy pitch-and-catch".
