I'll be happy for 4/25/2019 so we can talk about some new stuff and the Rams will not go RB early.

Are you kidding?

At least we can talk about the draft... short of the end of the CBA when some guys may shake loose in May... it's gonna be quiet as a church on Monday morning around here for about a month.

Gotta remember to finish binging Breaking Bad and Ray Donovan before Mini Camp starts...

I just finished Binging Breaking Bad for the second time a month ago. So good.
I gotta look into Ray Donovan after the draft plus 2 days reviewing our sweet picks we made

B. Gary has a pro sports agency business? I wonder where his heart truly is at

and my God, I can't wait until the talk elsewhere in Rams-land quits expounding the "greatness" of obscure college players. Most of which we will never remember the names of unless visiting the particular Walmart where they are stocking shelves by the regular season...

Stocking shelves is a good way to prep your body for a successful NFL career.

Sincerely, Kurt Warner

I haven't been delving into the draft as much as I used to. I no longer read all of the scouting reports. I only read certain positions, but don't take notes. I havent watched much of it in the last few years due to camping trips. Getting away broke a the cycle For me. For most of twenty years I didn't miss a pick in the top four rounds. Also, I'm tired of the inevitable arguments that occur over inane nonsense because I prefer a player that another person doesnt. Or I prefer a position that they dont. I still got in one of those this year and I ask myself why.

I used to do a mock a year.. They ended up pretty good. I did much better than former Rams GMs did. (Not that hard) The last one I did I got one comment about my fifth round pick. Jerry asked me why I'd pick a 3/4 linebacker to play on a 4/3 defense. ( Olivier Vernon turned out to be a damn good 4/3 DE). But that was it. The discussions that follow make the mocks fun. But most don't really care to read them or comment. But that made me realize how much time I was spending in the months leading up to the draft, and how many other things I could be doing instead. Who was I doing it for? Why am I following the off-season so closely? It's an excessive amount of time. since then, I've slowly cut it back more each year.

At 11:00 on Saturday I'll be in a theater with my 12 year old watching a three hour movie; Avenger Endgame. The rest of the day I'll be fishing with him. I'll check in later to see who they picked, but I won't be parked on my recliner, wasting the day away. It feels good to be shedding some of this time consuming hobby.
RV camping road trips cures many things for me. it's the best getaway!

I agree, I hate the way they pushed the draft back. I used to really look forward to it, but now I’m just sick of it and ready for it to be over.

The NFL needs to learn to leave crap alone.

The draft has been 3 day format for 9 years now and has gained more popularity every year, as evidenced by the crowds and ratings.

Not all new things are bad things.

Wheres your next venture
Not sure but most likely back to CO, SD, ID, MT, WY, AZ & UT, but I most always go west from where I am. I always stop when I hit the California, Oregon & Washington state lines.

If I go towards the north eastern part of the US .....PA is as far as I can go.

I suppose its a bit much but I have grown to love all four seasons of the year. FA/Draft, Preseason, Regular, Playoffs (now that it includes the Rams).

Same here. The dead time is post draft and pre-camp.

And there’s a fair chance that we trade out of the first round, so we could watch all night Thursday for nothing!

Day 1 & 2 result in one of the best reality TV shows all year (and the first round at least involves the Rams this year)! Wife thinks I am a lost soul and kids think I am a loser but I don't care.

Lol! Come home from work on Thursday with a pizza and a bouquet of flowers. They will love you again.

I love the NFL Draft, the combine, Senior Bowl, East-West Shrine Game, mock drafts, the preseason, the regular season, post season, and the Superbowl. I hate the Pro Bowl....now, that sucks!

I say we stay put and draft a top notch CB. There. I said it.

Assuming there is one. Good chance the ones worthy of pick 31 will be gone, and there may be a bit of a gap before the next group. That's one reason I wouldn't mind a slight trade down, still get value in the upper 2nd round, and get trade chips for one of the thirds to move up where there will still be good value.

No, Resident of Florida. The stand your ground law state.

Yes in many years past we have RV camped, enjoyed all three of those very beautiful states on a regular basis. However many new laws & restrictions in those 3 states have become unfriendly to FL's CCL's.

I have found that in the State of Washington (past 5 yrs) once you off the main I-5 corridor & out of the cities traveling with a family along with protection firearms.....any matter or issues that might come up are much more friendly & positive with LEO's. I suppose It may be that way in Oregon too.

I have not traveled to California (my birth state) in well over a decade & have no desire too. In my family, It's now regarded as a never to go state. I will enjoy the Los Angeles Rams from a long distance & be very happy.
