If it does happen, I'd sure love it to be next week since I'll be at the game.
Me too hahahhaha

The Eagles did that with Ron Jaworski and Randall Cunningham back in the mid-80's, as Jaws' career was winding down and Cunningham was a rookie. Randall would come in for a series or two in the first half -- sometimes also in the second half, if the Eagles had either a comfortable lead or no shot at winning the game.
It's unconventional, for sure -- but not unprecedented.
I think this is my thought process now. Just as long as we are winning I don't give a shit if Hekker is the QB.as long as we keep winning I don't give a crap who our QB is. why is it so important for Goff to be starting for some of you guys?
Not me. Although I think the distinction needs to be made. You don't mean forever. Right?as long as we keep winning I don't give a crap who our QB is. why is it so important for Goff to be starting for some of you guys?

I dont want to speak for anyone else, but personally its because being 3-1 doesnt guarantee any future wins. If you could guarantee me that continuing to play keenum is going to result in wins you would have a point, but you cant. People dont want Goff starting because being 11-5 with goff as a starter is any better/different than being 11-5 with keenum as the starter. People want Goff because hes the better talent and while we are currently 3-1, we also are bottom of the league in most offensive stats, and its a bit unrealistic to think we can continue to win at a 75% rate with such lackluster offensive play
If we were winning games because of Keenum or at least him contributing significantly there would be as many people demanding Goff to start, but the truth is Keenum (and the offense as a whole) has only done just enough to get these 3 wins, and just enough isnt good enough
Well, I think part of it is that 11-5 with Goff as the starter is better. Simply because Goff is more likely to improve with experience.
Well, Cunningham started the 2nd game of the season in his rookie season. I only know that because he played against the Rams. Started a bunch of games in his rookie year IIRCThe Eagles did that with Ron Jaworski and Randall Cunningham back in the mid-80's, as Jaws' career was winding down and Cunningham was a rookie. Winning is what matters. But after all the Bradford, Foles, draft picks traded, Goff- I'd like that to bear fruit. Make sense?
If Goff NEVER played and busted? and we went on to win the Super Bowl with Keenum, or even Mannion, yes, part of me would be irked. Especially draft day 2017.
But yes. I get the big picture. Success. Win. Not player based thinking. Team based thinking.
What happens if he comes in and lights it up, and our offense becomes as dynamic as I picture it? With our defense peaking, the sky is the limit.what happens if he comes in and looks really bad and we lose? do we want to take that chance while we are winning or after we lose?
Me too hahahhaha

I think people are overstating the downside.
You'll be at the Lions game? Where abouts you sitting?
that would be great but we don't know what will happen and that is my point. is it worth taking the chance when we are winning? that's the question and if we do and we lose every post on this board will be I told you or hes a bust. if we start to lose bad or keenum blows up then hell ya put Goff in imo
so what your saying is Goff will guarantee us 11-5? im not understanding this post. who says Goff wont lose the next 2-3-5 games? no guarantee he will win games or even be better and I am a Goff fan we just don't have a clue as to what would happen.
I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss that premise. Let me tell you what I've seen so far. In the GDT, for example, people have been REALLY rough on Keenum early on (first two games), and afterward there were a shit ton of posts centered around getting him the hell out of the offense and inserting Goff - even if he isn't ready. Then, the next couple of games, after Keenum started doing better and the team continued winning, those same people weren't even to be found in the GDT. It became apparent that Keenum doing well gave them nothing to talk about. It was almost like they were reluctant to celebrate winning, because it meant Goff's debut was going to be delayed. And that really sucks for some people. Despite what they say to the contrary. What Im saying is its not that people hate that we are winning with Keenum and want to play Goff no matter what
If Goff is ready, he should start this week. If he's not, he shouldn't. Winning or losing should be irrelevant.
