The seafucks and falcons somehow lost when a win was at their fingertips.
Two pass plays, both stupid and poorly executed, gave Brady and the Patriots 2 SB wins. Two plays. That's all that separates him from 5-3 and "SB hero" to 3-5 and "can't be relied on to win the big game".
I want us to win based on player execution, scheme and winning each play.
I don’t want the refs determining the winner one way or another.
Win or lose, I want a controversy free game against these guys, just once.
That would be awesome. The headline could be"1 bad call didn't cost the game"Losing to them the first time due to cheating and the losing another one on a bad call? No way.
The only bad call I want to see is one that allows them to get a trash touch down when the Rams are leading 33 to 7 with 48 seconds left to play.
The Rams are beating the cheating pants off the Pats this Sunday. ...but... if the football Gods are somehow not on our side, there is one way for the Rams to lose that would be far better than any other way.
Imagine if we lost the Super Bowl on a bad call and the franchise handled it with some class and some good humor - like a confident team that knows that 1 play didn't decide the outcome, that we are a young and extremely talented team who will be back multiple times with Goff and McVay leading the way.
Like I said, we are beating the Pats and winning McVays 1st SB...
...but if we don't, I would love it if our team and fans showed the Saints how to handle it like adults, not like the whiney bitchfest of assumed entitlement that the Saints have displayed from the ownership to the fans.
read an article stating that the Pats could very easily be 8-0 or 0-8 with a handfull of plays going the opposite wayWithout cheating, they might be 2-6 or 1-7.
How about the Rams crush the Patriots, and no ifs ands or buts.Me neither. Best case scenario is we win.
Worst case is we lose because we sucked.
I would prefer losing because we were freaked over rather than because we weren't good enough.
With a young team, thats the sort of thing that can put a permanent chip on their shoulders and keep them hungry for years.
A hypothetical nobody wants to actually examine is what would be better:
Winning the SB this year and then spending the next five years below .500....
or
Losing this SB but being in the playoffs for the next 5 years.
I know which I would prefer... but for the sake of our older friends, I guess I would want them to see a SB winning team again, forseeable future be damned.
Luckily for us, Demoff, Snead, McVay and Co should keep us in contention for years to come, regardless.

@badnews you know very well McVay would say in a post game presser:
"First off congratulations to Coach Bellicheat and the New England Patriots they are a heck of a football team. I need to be accountable to my team and put us in a better position to win the game. We had our opportunities, and I didn't make the correct play calls to put us in a position to be World Champions. It's something I can and will improve upon.
We did not lose because of one call, there were other deciding factors that led to our loss. Sometimes non calls and calls are in our favor. Sometimes they're not. Referees are human and make errors, we cannot put our team in a position to depend on the referees judgment to determine the game."
Absolutely what McVay would say....absolutely what I pray he will not be saying! Horns Up!!
Did I miss anything?

YOOOOOO! Stahp! We’re going to win this game!
This is only because its the freaking Patriots. I seriously cant think of an outcome worse than them winning fair and square.
freak that noise.
They dont deserve any asterisk free Super Bowls.
