It’s west coast fans.
Full of transplants to get away from freezing winters.
If you’re not winning the locals don’t show up.
People sell Off the tickets.
I knew a guy when I had season tickets for Rams who had two sets of season tickets. He’d use one set and sell the others every week. Almost always to other teams fans, because they’d pay more.
LA in particular is a Lakers then baseball town.
Dodgers, Lakers, Giants rule everything....they sell tickets no matter what to their fans.
I said, not joking, when the Rams moved back to LA they were now the 3rd most popular football team in LA.
USC, Raiders, Rams, UCLA.
The Raiders are still popular because of a shit culture in LA.
The Chargers are several notches below that.
The Rams need to build that fan base back up, which they are.
It takes a little time.
A couple of years of 4 wins and the stadium will look like Anaheim or St Louis.
I went the Rams Saints game in 2019. Last time I saw them play each other was in Anaheim.
Back then it was probably 60% Saint fans.
In 2019 it was probably 65% Rams fans.
The team is doing a good job building a loyal base back up.
