Irrelevant, we have a DB room that is full of average and a lot of it is heading to free agency. I totally get draft picks being spent on the secondary. Our top 2 defenders on snap count are both free agents after this season. Williams Durant and Witherspoon are all pending free agents. It makes sense to draft DBs.

I don't know how many will be spent there but I get it. Since I seem to be the only one thinking this I'll drop it. Don't want some random guy claiming I'm being a know it all when I'm just stating a possible draft scenario and explaining/defending my thoughts.

All’s good Oldschool. Just glad your staying strong on your thoughts. We disagree a lot.Reeder just signed SO I’m coming off my ILBer.
I’d say more than anything The Rams don’t have a need though NOW is a Mark Barron type of player,or a CB/DB/Lb like Q. Lake.
I’d double up on speed in the middle with cover skills & can tackle.
-Don’t think The Rams go the CB route. That might be the position of need next season.

DB either corner & or safety or one of each.
OL Tackle - Guard - or Center
It is a long season. Depth is a key ingredient come playoff time.

Definitely agree with the second tendency which is why I expect some secondary to be drafted.

He carpet bombs sometimes but they already have so many bodies at CB that I can't see him doing it this year at that position. My guess (since that's what we're all doing) is one CB and one Safety.

Agreed on this

There is something called practice team. Some draft picks end up there. Nothing wrong with taking a 2nd CB as a development type. Besides, who's to say we don't hit on a late pick. The Rams FO has been doing great there lately.
Yeah I was specifically referencing projections of the draftee being CB1 or later picks upgrading the room in year 1. A developmental practice squad type is not doing that.

Well, Snead tends to do two things in a draft. One, he likes to carpet bomb need positions. Two, he tends to target areas a year in advance... Thus, I think we will see CB be a high priority as that position hits on both of those strategies.
One early and one late.
