Scroll through my posts and you were will find my support for Fisher AND Bradford. Apologist. Believer. Fan. That's me.

But Jeff was soooooo solid in his support of Sam during the season and subsequently in the final presser of the year.

Now this. Sam traded. I don't know if it was Sam's unwillingness to reduce his cap, Kroenke's edict, or an organizational decision, but one thing is clear. When Jeff is firm on a subject, he's really not.

Only time can determine the wisdom of this decision. I recently posted that JF has little patience for chronically injured players (Alexander, Amendola, Long, Wells, Jackson) but his words concerning Bradford were clear. Sam was his man.

At least now I know...everything is subject to change. Perhaps that is true wisdom. It just sucks when trying to decipher "coach speak"

Fish got one helluva poker face:

You got to know when to hold 'em
know when to fold 'em
know when to walk away
know when to fling tons of steaming bullshit into the cameras

(that sorta rhymes, doesn't it?)

It's not really a news flash is it?

People were shocked when Fish fired Walton after avoiding any criticism or indicators in his press conferences. He simply doesn't like anyone to know his cards man, and that's a good thing. I love his unpredictability in that way.

Rams fans should be thrilled right now because we don't need Peyton Manning to win in this league with the defense we are going to have. We just need a healthy starting QB to execute off of play action and stretch the field. Foles can do that, and he's got great height for seeing the field and miniature receivers like Tavon.

They just gotta get the OL right now. They gotta invest big in it, and by that I mean in the draft. Let's load it up Snead!

One thing is for sure. If Fisher says that your his man going into the offseason, you're probably going to lose your job.

See Walton and Bradford for proof.

I imagine Sam's unwillingness to restructure his contract had a huge part in trading him. I think Snisher was telling the truth when they said they saw him as our starter next year, but I don't think they foresaw him not renegotiating his 17 million dollar cap hit.

It sure does seem like Bradford got greedy thinking Fisher had limited options and this is the reply fisher had in his back pocket.

i just don't like putting all the money, time and effort into bradford and pulling the rug out on the last year. something much bigger better come out of this besides Foles and cap space. between bradford, the coaching changes, the stadium issues, the losing records, the hype talks from Snisher... you can only fuck with the fans so much. we better not be wearing paper bags on our heads come midway through the season.

I for one would never play Fisher in a high stakes poker game!! I'd have to crash on @RamzFanz couch.

I don't know if they had any intentions to trade Bradford initially, but after what the Eagles gave up, there's no way you DON'T trade Bradford in that situation unless you're very low on Foles.

I believe Fisher did want Bradford to stay. Just not at his current contract as many of us stated prior to being told Bradford had all the leverage.

We wanted Sam back. We tried to renegotiate his deal. Sam, and his people were not willing to do it. We were going to cut Sam outright. A team stepped up and offered to take his salary, a player and draft considerations.

Fisher doesn't answer to you, me, ESPN, or any fan. He answers to Kroenke. I don't think he cares if you believe his word. I think he tries to do the best for the team.

It takes two to tango, Sam wouldn't negotiate on his contract which is his right, but the team clearly wanted him to. Since he wouldn't then they went out and got what they could.
In Bradford we had a guy we could all pull for, but we also had a guy who has been hurt a lot. We saved money and got some draft picks- it was a good move for us

I think Fish is honest in what he says at the time he says it. If something changes, I think he shoots straight in what that is.

WhenFoles had a pass/run ratio of 52/48 and a solid OL, he threw for 27TDs 2INTs and a 9.1 YPA.

With our D and our weapons... All we need to do is to shore up our OL and we can beat ANY TEAM IN THE NFL with Foles.

Foles only faltered when the Eagles OL turned to crap and no QB does great without an OL. Btw, he still went 6-2 before getting injured.

oh I'm furious at that fucker too for not negotiating or letting his agent own him, however it went down. either way I have a bad feeling a QB will AGAIN be priority in the 2016 draft. I wonder who we'll be talking about a year from now.

How does Rams OL compare to Eagles?

I think he probably meant what he said - they just got an offer they couldn't refuse. Chip Kelly came hard after Bradford and the deal was too good to turn down.

Then again - his job is to be a coach of a pro sports team....not to tell the truth. He's entitlted to do anything within the rules to strengthen his team and some of that requires subterfuge. You shouldn't expect honesty from coaches and you shouldn't believe a word that comes out of any of they're mouths...
