As pumped as I am - I'm STILL pissed at the Brockers call. WTF CAN you do now? I am SO sick of these refs LOOKING for ways to penalize us.

That could have been a game changer!

Refs should be penalized for extreme blown calls like that!

Normally, the Brock would have to pay a fine for such a penalty. I hope Fish raises a big enough stink that the refs absorb the fine themselves. (They probably won't fine them, but they should sit Boogers' crew next weekend!)

Better not fine him for that bs call! Review showed it to be a crappy call. If they do, Fish better throw a fit!

Disgusting call. Quinn's late FF for TD helped me get it out of my system though.

There has to be some sort of official accountability.... like these blown calls being reviewed in game or something. Its like some of these officals are making calls based upon "well that looked brutal so it had to be illegal." Bullshit.

And there is the rub. They are graded every game. With the league being so paranoid about this stuff now with QBs and head injuried I bet you get graded more harshly for missing a head shot call than making a bad call on a clean hit. The biggest problem I see happening now is refs are anticipating hard hits or late hits. They have been so conditioned to throw that flag they are not going to let anything even border line go. From his perspective (I AM NOT defending Boger) from where he was standing I dont think he could tell whether Brockers got him in the chin or the shoulder as he head was on the other side of McCown. That flag would not have flown two years ago or even last year for that matter. This has nothing to do with the Rams getting bad calls, this is league wide and it is pathetic. It was a hard hit and in reality that is what the flag was for.
The new NFL.

Well then don't throw the flag if thats your angle on the play. Let the rest of your crew decide to either throw the flag or let it go. IDk who actually threw the flag on that play, but if it was Bogar and he didn't actually see where the body to body contact took place then dammit, keep the flag in your pocket. Let one of the other officials with a clear angle make the call.

You hit it dead on the nail man. If they are so worried about these calls, they should make them reviewable by the refs. Any questionable roughing the passer call should be able to be reviewed to make the right decision, instead of just going off of initial gut reaction and fear of Goodells wrath upon them.

I agree with what your saying, but, it isent going to change until the NFL changes what they are emphasizing (and grading officials on). That is not going to happen.

The NFL should not only NOT fine Brockers but at least give him credit for the sack.

Actually, give him two. He straight blasted that fool.

I understand the politics you're referring too.
Well if thats the case then the NFL has bigger problems if officialls are throwing flags on infractions they don't actually see with their own eyes.

the thing that gets me is that BS call could have been a game changer.... thankfully the offense was able to march right down the field and put the Rams up by 2 scores.... enter The Mighty Quinn to make it 3 scores
