I feel like a lot of us on here had the same feeling after this day two. Not great. This day two reminded me of a Spags/Billy D. Draft. Getting the need right and whiffing on the player. I don't mind Rob since he's in the local area for me, but I feel like Ty could have been a good pick or maybe one of the guards like Marpet or Cann. Speaking of Cann, he would have been nice, but we took Jamon Brown later and I remember Bridewater fans saying that his O-line was bad last year, so that doesn't inspire confidence. These guys we took have late round projections on them. It seemes like we picked day three talent on day two. If those guys pan out, then I have no issue with this day two, but then we took Mannion. I would have rather risked it on Petty or Hundley. Mannion is just a head scratcher. I would have also liked seeing Paul Dawson at that pick possibly, even though he's a headcase. I just hope the Rams knock rounds 4-7 out of the park and get some good UDFA's because it seems like they are going to need it.

I'll take it. I have heard more than once that Team draft boards for this draft will be very different after the top ten, or so picks. The players after all the way to about 50+ are all closely rated. So different players fit different schemes and that means one teams fourth rounder could be another's second.

I like the bruising Road graders that they drafted today. The power run scheme has finally arrived. Right now they have four powerful hole popping Olinemen and if Rhaney pans out with his ability to pull the running game will be kicking ass and taking names.

My same thoughts almost. All 3 could have been had 1-2 rounds later IMO. Of course I could be wrong. And only time will tell and hopefully prove me wrong big time.

Clemmings, Tre Jackson, Cann, Dawson and others could of been had. Hell, I'd take Petty easily over Mannion, and even Hundley who I dont like at all.

Sigh. I am doing my best to not hate this day but its hard. I am not a scout and I dont get paid millions and havent been doing this for years and years and not anything close to the access that they have.

I just need a day to process this all and calm down and keep my faith in Fishead. Im not a GM so I will hope for the best...

The Mannion pick was the sucker punch of day 2. I liked the line picks but I think Austin Davis even has more upside than Mannion. Hard to say why we reached for him and passed up Petty or Hundley.

I am very happy with this draft, including day 2. We got two very big and very good linemen plus a developmental QB with size and who throws with anticipation. Love the trade down that got us two extra picks, that was brilliant!

I don't think we would have traded back if Donovan Smith, my top target today, would have been available, but who knows. I liked the trade back after he was gone. There weren't many OT's available, but a lot of similar graded OG's, from how I had them rated. Brown was the biggest, best athlete in the group, and he can play. I had them rated a little different too, but I understand the picks.

I'm not the hugest Mannion fan, but they could have picked any of the other guys, if they wanted to. He was hard to evaluate for me, as was Hundley.

Hang in there Tron, and let me tell you something.... Gurley will make all of their grades go up.

I'm actually the opposite. I'm really, really, really excited about all the picks. The one pick I'm hesitant on is Gurley, but I'm warming up to him.

2 young OL taken? A QB? Yes please.

I'm very happy with the first three picks. I don't know anything about the QB so I will wait and see how it all works out.

I bet we'll take at least one other offensive lineman.

I wasn't a fan of the Gurley pick due to his ACL, and was downright upset last night. But you know all that really matters is that they fix this mothereffing OL. Seriously, if they do that one thing this is a playoff team. Foles is good enough, WRs are good enough, and God knows we have enough RBs and a defense.

So yeah. OL isn't sexy. It isn't exciting, particularly when it's guys whose names haven't been romanticized on the boards. But the only thing that matters is that they get enough influx of talent into that position in this draft so that Coach Boudreau can field a solid unit. Rams added a real physical RT who might start sooner than many think. The OG is kinda what tonight swings on, but there's also a 4th round pick and an early one coming up so it ain't over yet.

I'm just gonna get behind these guys and cross my fingers, guess that's the best way of putting it.

Gee. I feel pretty good.

So far they have selected what might have been the best player in the entire draft in Todd Gurley, giving them what may be the best 1a-1b running back combo in the league which I've been wanting for YEARS now.

Next, they've picked up two road graders that perfectly fit the power run scheme they plan to run. They weren't the big names that many wanted (the problem for most, IMO), but two very good football players nonetheless. And players I've been mentioning while most have been pushing for a 1st round OLineman. BTW, I've noticed that many of the players that some wanted the Rams to select aren't even good fits the scheme being implemented.

Sean Mannion? I wouldn't have selected a QB not named Winston, Mariota, or even Marshall in this draft class. But, if I had to, of the group remaining Mannion would have been my top choice as he may be the most pro ready of the group.

If they could somehow come away with Nick Marshall I'd be dancing in the streets.

If I had to guess right now, I'd say that unless something drastic happens, the QB roster will be Foles, Keenum and Mannion. I think they'll keep Mannion on the active roster because too many teams pinch developmental QBs if they show any promise in the pre-season. I think Davis won't make it.

I definitely don't think these players were BPA. Snisher painted himself into a corner and forced several need picks. This is why you take your needs in FA.

Whole heartedly agree. This is why I hate draft time every year. People fall in love with their guys and if he's not picked the front office/coach sucks and needs to be fired, or we get to hear about how bad our draft sucks before any one even gets play time. Everybody thinks they know better and pick better the the professionals who do this every year yet are mad we didn't sign oline players that don't even fit in our scheme.

So we should have vastly overpaid in fa instead? Well we know how paying fa oline has worked out. And just because you don't like a pick doesn't make it a bad pick just so you know.

As you point out so succinctly Memphis Ram, Rams will implement an in your face, power running scheme. When you draft 6'7" linemen, you need tall QB's to see over behemoths, to exploit opposing defenses, and manage football contests. So I understand the Mannion pick. If you can't find the extremely rare elite QB, then an intelligent coach will improvise and find another way to thwart and beat you.

Looks like we are implementing a plan similar too the Seahags. Suffocating defense. Check... Oh there are differences.... Rams? Best defensive line on planet...Seahogs best defensive backs on earth. So, we are more Shock and Awe and Smash mouth. Seahawks got more finesse and experience.

Offensively? Foles will manage games. Foles will fire timely stinger missiles over 8 in the box, shocked and screaming (OMG! Foles audibled, we're naked. Ram TD!)

Rams have slightly better WR's and TE's then Seattle. Our tight ends? Locked, loaded ready to knock the cocks off Seahawks, block and rock and roll! By the end of 2015 regular season, Rams running backs will be feared and cheered! Gurley but not girly!

If Fisher and Snead can spot human rhino's then I'd say our offensive line is almost on par with the Seahogs... I'm guessing one of our centers will surprise ( I'm looking at you Barrett Jones!)

Another thing...Rams roster is maturing and entering into their prime years...It's almost our time!

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said they were going to fail. In fact, I've even said they might be solid players. I really like Brown as an OG prospect. That doesn't change that fact that they most likely could have taken him later and there were better prospects still on the board that weren't OL but the Rams HAD to take them.

Also, you don't have to overpay for FAs. Just don't go for the elite ones. They could have even traded for some O lineman. Hell, I've been screaming at this regime to draft some lineman since their first draft. I wanted DeCastro and Cordy Glenn with their first two picks. I'd still prefer those picks over what they took.
