Just curious I know Watson's contract is coming up but would love to hear from you guys on this as yes or no but with some reasons explaining why either way.

I do like Goff but I'd do it off the opportunity presented itself.

If solidly protected in the pocket I see Goff matching the success of someone like Aikman.

The casual fan will say Watson is way better and Goff “cant read a defense on his own). The casual fan also said that Colin Kaeperdick was going to be the greatest QB since John Elway. The casual fan is pretty stupid. Long term Goff is the better player. Right now with a bad OLine and an average at best running game Goff is limited because he is not as athletic as Watson. Under those same conditions Watson can still be pretty effective. But you give Goff a good OL and good Run game and he can win you a Super Bowl. Watson is the greater injury risk.

Running QB sux. Always have and always will. Sux the life out of your team like Vick in Atlanta. You think WRs are going to kill themselves to get open every single time if some fool QB is going to just take off and run ?

I am a big Goff fan, but I also think any Rams fan not taking Watson is a bit bias. Even coming out of college, I was heavily in favor of Goff over Wentz. I stand by that. But I also wished we had the pick one year later to take Watson. I stand by that too. Very happy with Goff as our guy, though. Very tough mentally. Can make all the throws. People forget how young he is too

I honestly believe that with less offensive talent around him Watson is a more effective player with his quicker feet

But Goff with a solid (Not Great) Oline has shown he can run the top offense in the NFL and put up in crunch time to get his team to the Super Bowl.

Pocket passers own the vast majority of Super Bowls and have way longer Careers based on the fact that they develop their pocket game when other QB’s are running around.

Also, Watson has a great Deep
Ball but has no where near the ability to throw the ball in the short and mid level with the same type of pinpoint accuracy and timing as Goff does when he has decent protection and a Running game to keep the defense honest.

I don’t have a really good feel for what you have with Watson, he was pretty ordinary until the 4th quarter in their playoff win. He’s capable of amazing stuff but sometimes if a guy can make the right read and get the ball out on time he doesn’t need to make a spectacular escape and throw.

1) No thank you Goff is our QB.

2) Haven't we fucked up our 2020 cap enough?

lol I think the actual issue with a running qb is injuries. If a WR is sour over a QB running you can move on from the player. Good wideouts are easiest to come by then good, reliable QB's.
