Once again there is no such thing as a trap game.

Some made up BS. It’s the NFL, every game is a trap game with that logic.

I try to win the Jets game if I am the Rams.

But here is something interesting.

If we beat Arizona and Seattle we win the division. Full Stop.

Even if Arizona and Seattle win their remaining games (except vs Rams).

So aint the end of the world if we lose to Jets.

The Jets beat up on a bad Jaguars team and suddenly people think the Jets are a good team.

I know, any given Sunday any team can win. But, McVay usually has the team prepared for East Coast games. He also has been good gearing the team up for December/January football. The Rams should win this game.

My only concern is the frigid weather affecting the team.

.

very worried about this game.

2012 - horrible game against the phins. followed up with a more horrible game against the jets.

2016 - i have blotted that year out of my brain.

2020 - horrible game against the phins, followed up with a more horrible game against the jets.

2024 - horrible game against the phins.

can mcvay break the cycle?

The rain game last week and a possible cold weather game this week could help us be better prepared down the road in the playoffs.

In reality Buffalo was not a must win but it opened up options. Best offensive showing since 2021.
It was an impressive offensive showing for sure. I wonder how must win to could have been if we lose and Seattle beats GB.

Anyway, it looks like at this point if we beat Arizona we are in!

I'll post what I posted in other thread.

Yes winning this game is quite important - for example if we win this and against seattle - we could still pass the cardinals even if they beat us, if they lose to the panthers or 49ners.

We would be 10-7 and they would be 9-8
I want 11-6, like @Merlin 's been saying!

If we win out what a finish two years running. 3-6 to 10-7. 1-4 to 11-6. I don't know which would be more impressive. Collectively, I doubt it's been done before.

The problem with a (potential) Jets loss is;
- Lost momentum on a turn around season. Our defense should harass Rodgers all day long. Our offense should score 28+
- Reality of weaknesses exposed by a shit Jets team
- McVay getting beat by ???? (NYJ coach that I cannot even identify)
- Stafford getting beat by Rodgers (who is phoning it in at this point)

I was only four in November of 1970. But how did George Allen and the Los Angeles Rams lose a home game to the New York Jets with Al Woodall quarterbacking them no less? Jets finished 4-10 that year and the Rams missed the playoffs by one game.

That was an awful day.

I was super excited to get to see the game on TV in New York.

What a disappointment. Could not process how a bad team could beat a good one on the road. The Any Given Sunday thing had not yet sunk in to my ten year old mind.

Any lifetime fan has enjoyed great victories and endured brutal defeats but this was my 1st hugely disappointing loss as a Rams’ fan.

Thanks for the reminder Den. You’re the Best!
