The Sullivan call was pretty bad... was going to be 3 to 3 with us having the ball on their 40 yard line.

The only one that really angered me was the hit on Goff on the sidelines. If that had been on Brady people would have lost there crap screaming about it.

That was straight up a good hit.

I remember Bradford took a hit helmet to helmet, but he was out of the pocket. Just a horrible BS hit. Now they protect the play , but Goff got hammered by Earl Thomas( or Sherm) his rookie year. Had a concussion from it.

Which was right after the marginal Sullivan call.
Totally agree on Brady gets the call

Reading 101. I never said it wasn't a good hit.

That's exactly what I told my wife when she asked why there was no flag.

He was in the field of play ? Goff was out of the pocket !! You should be able to explain the rule , not because it would have been a penalty if it was Brady. We don’t need anymore Brady rules.

There was a play when Folwer or Littleton had Brady’s foot. Was close to a penalty. The play let go & an excellent No Call by the Refs.

The call on Sullivan was BS

It was absolutely in the Pats game plan to hit Jared as often as possible, even after the play. They wanted to get in his head, and he had no run game to protect him. I was upset by a hellacious hit he took in the end zone up high. His jersey was pulled off his shoulder pad after the hit. The ref stared right at it, and no call. Jared got beat up, and McVay didn’t know how to answer it.

I will say that the hitting a defenseless receiver penalty on NRC was ridiculous (we would've gotten the ball back as it would have been 3rd and 20+ for the Patriots) and the weak holding call on Gurley's run definitely helped turn the tide of the game.

NRC has to be allowed that tackle.

I thought that changed the early part of the game.

Yeah. I know that. It’s what jrry said, and what I was agreeing with. But I also agreed that if Brady had gone flying into his own teammates after a legal hit on the sidelines, the optics of that would have drawn a flag. You don’t have to like it, but that’s the way it is regardless.

It wasn't a PF, but Brady would have gotten the call. You're right about that.

to be fair, donald threw brady to the ground long after the ball had gone, earlier in the game, with no flag.

Goff had for all intents and purposes given himself up on the play and if that had been Brady he would have got the flag but the refs were right not to throw it and the sully call at best was ticky tack

The refs was not the reason we lost

that holding call must have burned mcvay so much. it was the only call he mentioned in his press conference. said it was a tough call. that must mean it was a horrible call because he is very pc about those things.

I thought the refs were awful, easy on the pats and ticky tak with us.

But Sean McVay and our offensive line were the 2 biggest reasons, if ya gotta point blame.

I would say McVay, O-line, Refs, Goff in that order but I'm not mad. This team is great and will be for a while so.... on to the draft! Go Rams!!!

The holding call did change the game. For those saying bad calls happen....did the Patriots have to over come a bad call?

I don't blame the officials but if I'm Goodell I hand out disciplinary action for that holding call. They didn't call it all game when we have Aaron Donald on our team? Ok.

The holding call...I keep seeing it repeat like on a reel of film in my head. It was that bad. We can't complain too much though. Look how the Saints feel with that call they didnt get against us. Just one of those things. The refs have too much influence on games at big moments like that.

The refs did throw the rams a bone when they called holding on the cheats on 3rd down when the pass was incomplete.

You gotta take the good with the bad.

It was what I expected....was that holding on Sully?
I thikn it was pass interference on that one to Cooks (?) or J Reynolds down the left sideline...but they only call those in the reg season.

Yeah... but when the "good and bad" are a peppermint and a shit sandwhich, you dont eat the sandwhich to get the mint.

Calls affecting every drive we started to gain momentum= shit sandwhich.

Meaningless calls against Pats that have no significance on the game= peppermint.

I'm not griping at you or your opinion, btw. Just not at all happy about the officiating.
Like many have said though, we lost because McVay got schooled and so did our o-line.

Did y’all watch the same game?

NINE penalties on Rams to THREE on NE. The bs call on NRC was huge. It was a perfect wrap up tackle at a huge moment to set the tone, get Brady off the field, and instead it’s 15 yards and a first down. And to rub salt in that wound, there were at least two times that NE defenders did in fact tackle Rams players by the helmet without being called.

And if you had any doubt about the NFL putting its thumb on the scale, the holding call on Gurley’s big run made it crystal clear. We had a lot of momentum at that point and seeing Gurley get going had NE soiling their pants. But no, no, let’s walk it back and put LA in 1st and 20 hole and kill this drive.

Yeah, Rams got out coached. But they also got jobbed by the refs at key moments.

It wasn't a meaningless call on the cheats, it extended a rams drive.

I'm not gonna get too cut up about the refs. The game was there for the taking and the rams couldn't do it.
