Right now sure. But let's fast forward to the trade deadline and you have a couple teams who fancy themselves as contenders and are short up front on offense.

We won't get a lot for him but a midround pick would be welcome. To me at least.

Are there not tackles that are more healthy and cheaper to be had on other teams by the trade deadline?

(That being said, I would not be shocked if Boom has asked for a trade and they'll try right now, show that they can't and invite him back into the fold.)

I don't know that Saffold plays for the veteran minimum; and, I don't know that the Rams offer more than the vet minimum.

Also, I believe Saffold has been at Left Guard almost exclusively; and Avila is at LG.

I would still love to see him finish in Horns, though.
