Born in 1990
1. Never used a rotary phone, never even seen one in a household
2. Last used a floppy disk in 6th grade to save Microsoft word documents
3. Never used one to type an actual paper, just used as a plaything as a child
4. Many photos taken on film , mostly disposable cameras
5. I bought some new cds this year!
6. Cassettes were the main music media growing up
7. Vinyls made a comeback for some reason and won a few
8. Surprisingly I don’t think so
9. Maybe? My dad had what I believe is a boombox
10. VHS was the main form of video media until about 2001 or so
11. I’ve sent faxes from the hr office of my employer, that’s it
12. Oh yeah, definitely made my own mix tapes
13. Technically *I* never rented from blockbuster but I accompanied my mom many times
14. Accessing the internet using aol dial up cds was the first way I ever got online at home. I was like 10, and my parents couldn’t figure it out
15. I do remember looking up businesses in the phone book, mostly to order pizza
16. Never sent a postcard
17. Never used a paper map, but I am old enough to remember looking up directions on the computer and writing them down on paper
18. I probably did own a dictionary as some requirement for school
19. I definitely did not ever own an encyclopedia but my dad still has his $1000 set some fucker talked him into buying in the 80s
20. I have never written a check!

I think us millennials grew up in a fascinating time. Technology was growing rapidly but it didn’t dominate our livelihoods. We played outside. But we also had video games and computers. We just didn’t have them with us all the time. By the time I was 17, the very first iPhone came out and it was all downhill from there haha

11/20

Regarding item 10, 49's fans still watch those old Superbowl VHS tapes. Sorry, just had to rub that one in. Yes, 11,448 days since they won a SB, if you're counting (and we are).

Been to a drive in movie and I remember putting a quarter in the jukebox but I don't believe I ever put in a dime. My parents were not into 60s music and on. They were into Lawrence Welk - yuk.

I worked at Digital Equipment Corporation in the late 70's and 80's, as a service engineer.
Some of the equipment at the time, had 8 inch, "floppy" disk drives.
I thought the 5" discs were an engineering feat... the 3.5" discs were unimaginable!!

Many times for both. We actually still have a drive in here in Reno. Or at least we did a couple years ago. Haven’t checked lately.

Any of you used to grind down slugs on the sidewalk to the size of a dime so you could buy a soda?
