Every fan base has their mutants. But to me the worst are still 69er and Patriot fans for their arrogance and Eagles fans for their inbred mob mentality.
Without a doubt those championships are compromised. I mean they definitely ARE Championships but they were definitely BOUGHT.
Bringing it up to modern times though, all sports need to have a salary cap. What the Yankees did in the late 90s and 2000s was outright piggish and what the Dodgers are doing now is even worse.
Hey look, if you can win that way and be happy with it it's fine. If the Rams had acquired both Myles Garrett and Trent McDuffie NOT by trading draft picks, but by buying them and having a payroll far out distancing the rest of the league and 90% of the teams, I personally would be disgusted and would not take great joy in winning the Super Bowl that way.

Other teams have had huge payrolls and have surpassed the Dodgers in previous years, yet have no rings to show for it. Sucks for them.

And even the last two years, we barely won with first bullpen games (and none of them were that high of a salary) and then last year without a bullpen.
Not only that but I will always want any of my teams to do whatever they can within the rules to win. Period. End of story.

Yes, it's not that they are not within the rules. The point of this whole thing is that the rules need to be CHANGED. Too many are not understanding that. Until that happens, enjoy your championships. I couldn't win that way and I'm glad the Rams CANT.

But I can give an example in football that is very similar.
The Eagles with their voidable years. Do you say the Eagles winning the Super Bowl two years ago is similar to the Dodgers winning the world series. I say it is when compared to other teams in the NFL.
It's not a guarantee that the Dodgers just win every World Series, of course the Blue Jays came within a pube hair of beating them. Anyone can win a single series from any team. This premise shows up more regular season wise and also postseason.
Not only that but apparently 3 other teams offered the same or better contract.
