Actually, that was the Spags days in 2011. Which led to the Fisher days. Which of course led the the McVay era. Gawd, if anyone is entitled for some good things from the football gods, its us. They owe us big time. I remember when the biggest debate was the old tank for better picks vs trying to win. Draft day was more fun than the season.
Yeah you are right now that I think about it! Those are days I try and suppress I my memory! Lol
Sigh
You brought back memories of working on a draft in October:dizzy::poop:!!

We deserve to have this last at least a decade and 2-3 Super Bowls!

Remember all the threads about whether or not to root for them to lose for better draft picks? Already doing mock drafts in December? Its a moot point now because we'll be drafting close to 30 or higher for a while. And Snead will be wheeling and dealing to get more 2nd, 3rd round picks. You can find some gems in those rounds sometimes. Every night I kneel at my bedside thanking the Good Lord for Sean McVay.

Those were bad bad times!

during the fisher era i remember always betting big against for us to cover against seahawks.....we always beat them or played them close.....i won a small fortune just on those games....yet i stayed away from the other 14 games a year.......im so glad we are done with that whole era.....fisher....spagnola.....hazlet....lineahan.....such brutal times i remember......the great signings and draftees of marty gilyard....austin pettus.....dane looker....donnie avery...keenan burton....brian quick....joe klopenstien.....i can't remember how many times before the season started i had so much hype for these guys......in my opinion we wasted the career of steven jackson....one of my favorite rams ever

Imagine what his stats would be if he wasn't on the Rams for most of those years. He better get into Canton.

haha, i remember when i was at ramstalk and the rams drafted brian leonard in the 2nd round of the 2007 draft. one guy completely lost his shit. i think the 5 years of martz drafts then 2 years of linehan drafts finally got to him, with how truly awful the rams were at scouting players. awful.

I was actually frustrated that I could rarely justify betting on the Rams pre-McV; and when I did...well, you know.

Enter a new HC, some good off-season acquisitions, and a division in decline, I put out some futures bets on the Rams. I did periodically bet on their games, but again, I was apprehensive too many times and lost a couple of the games I did bet. I made $$ throughout the season because the Rams were winning but the futures bets are what really paid off.
Over on wins
Division champ
WILL THEY MAKE THE PLAYOFFS? That one crushed it because it was my biggest wager. It's not that I was smart so much as I was desperate. I was sick of losing and wanted to be in on it when we finally turned it around. I so badly wanted it to be "this year."

Last season I bet on every single game because I didn't want to miss out and we were supposed to be good. I did ok because we made it all the way to the SB, but because the odds on the futures bets were substantially lower last year, I didn't win as much. I would have had a big year had the Rams won it all, though. I'm gonna follow the same formula this year.

Were there some bad beats? I don't remember which game it was (denver?) but Gurley slid inside the 5 instead of going in for the score. I get staying in bounds to keep the clock rolling, but a TD that puts you up by more than a 1 score? I/the Rams were on a roll and I went extra heavy that game. Ouch!
Gurley owes me $$!

This year is gonna be tough because of the spreads, but I'm gonna play every game. I just have to nail the right ones when I up the ante.
