If i'm not mistaken, the Rams have allowed a grand total of 23 points in the second half thru the first 5 games.

It's still early for the defense but, the direction looks good. All in all, they played the poor NFC Least teams and the Bills. I'm hoping the first half of the Bills game was an anomaly on both sides of the ball. The team could have been a little tired. No doubt the Rams defense has been stellar in the second half of games. Let's see how they play without Fuller and Obo. Staley seems to be dialing up more and different blitz calls which have helped the pass rush. Hopefully, TLew and Hollins can keep improving the edge rush. Looking forward to The Big A coming back to help the middle run defense. If he does and the rest can stay healthy the defense might be near the top 5 for the entire year. A 6-10 ranking would still be a great improvement and helpful in a playoff run.

Keep progressing If Rams were able to get Lewis, Robinson, Fuller, Oko/Polite and Kiser fully integrated the sky could be the limit.

I appreciate some improvements but I'd like to see how the defense performs against the Seahawks, Bucs, and Dolphins before I get excited.. Last year's clunkers against the Ravens, Bucs, and Cowboys still burns.

Tonight is why I never completely bought in.

Playing bad offensive teams is different than playing one with a respectable offense.

Still time for Staley to turn it around.

Dallas isn't a bad offense with Dak Prescott. Eagles have hung with the Steelers and Ravens, beat these shitters. . Figured it out with the Bills.

Shit happens, but still. I'm more annoyed than anything.

Good news, the D has only given up 26 points in the 2nd half all season
Bad news, The D has given up 88 points in the 1st half this season

Gave up 3 points after the half. Were poor on the first drive of the game and worked their way back into the contest. 38 min to 22 min time of possession. Run defence needs significant work. For mine this game is more on the O. The interception was the major factor with regards to the scoreboard.

The D only looked half way decent in the second half because the 49ers were playing the clock. Then when it mattered late in the game they got pushed around. Gave up a FG and 2 first downs knowing the run was coming to seal the game.
Got knocked on their ass when it counted.

I don't understand why Staley always starts the first half of games so soft. If he's really a football genius shouldn't he be able to adjust in game instead of only at half time?

Every time anyone even hinted at getting close to Garapollo he threw a lousy pass. Zero pressure in the first half and ten yard cushions played right into what Shanahan was doing. And many here agreed before the game that Shanahan was going to only throw short routes and run Mostert hard at the Rams all game. Speed backs are a big weakness.

Btw it is difficult to understand how a back like Mostert doesn't get drafted and bounced around a few teams before settling in with the Niners. He's got very good acceleration and speed.

Staley got schooled tonight. But it was by one of the best. He's a smart dude, he'll go back to masking his weaknesses. And not every team can isolate our LBs like Shanny does. That dude is going to keep doing that to us until we have some fucking linebackers.

Next draft whichever option gives us the best front seven addition when we're up in round 2, that's who I'd pick. I'm tired of being fucked by Shanahan's run game man. Just fed up with it.

They've been very good and Staley and his boys are silencing some of his critics. That said we've played 1 good team and 2 iffy teams 2 shitty teams. The real test is still to come.

16 points of offense?

Mcvay & O’connel need to figure it out. My thinking has been The Rams we’re playing the clock against those shit teams, instead of running up the score.

9ers at Giants
Giants at SOFI

3-3 plus 1
Vs
4-2 minus head to head

Mullins played against Philly,so not counting against. The loss is what keeps The Rams for being last place in the division.

9ers lost at home to Arizona.

Well let’s hope Robinson is healthy next time they play each other. I think that will help.

Believe it or not,The Rams have lost every game Fuller has been hurt & won the others. He really helps in the middle for being a FS.
Freaking gets hurt again on the last freaking play on defense against the Giants.Bad luck.

My thinking the play before that The Rams got lucky & WTF is Staley thinking.

And unfortunately he mowed down our guys with power when he needed to, as well.
