OK, I talked to the Hampton. The $149 price is a refundable price up until 24 hours before. It's also a block of rooms that are reserved and adjoining. You also won't pay until checkout vs now.

If you sign up elsewhere, that's fine. The room can't be added to the block, so no need to call the Hampton.

OK, because there is no real price advantage to the group bookings at the hampton, I won't be signing the paperwork. Just get a room there soon if you want to be at the tailgate hotel because they won't hold rooms.

I can't attend but Thordaddy himself recommended the Marriott by the Galleria, which is where I stayed. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/stlrh-residence-inn-st-louis-galleria/

Metro station is like less than a block away. Just another option for you guys. Metro might be fun when you leave the game b/c there should be a lot of fans to hang out with.
