Yeah, I bet he gets more looks next year after what he did tonight. Dude has literally done nothing all year before this, barely ever got on the field, and then gets on in the Super Bowl and produces some absolute clutch catches. Hoping this is the turning point for him.

He was the biggest surprise.
I don't know what he's not doing enough of that keeps him off the field.. but that running routes and catching the ball thing looked good.
Bro that first catch across the flat was kupp worthy. I saw that and was wondering why this kid has never seen the field.

Well one of the reasons we couldn't run the ball was the TE position tonight. So not gonna knock them, I mean they're depth guys. But let's not start thinking we're flush at TE.

Not sure how well he did blocking all game. But on the most crucial play, 4th 1 Kupp sweep, he made a fantastic block to clear out the guy and allow Kupp to turn in for the 1st down. I couldn’t believe that was Hopkins. Crazy McVay but it worked.

Yep he blocked I believe it was Hubbard all the way off the TV screen

When Kupp was bracketed the entire 2nd half, it wasn't Van Jefferson or Ben Skrownek that was getting open. It was fucking Brycen Hopkins after Blanton hurt his shoulder!!!! What a time for him to step up!! This will give the kid confidence heading into next year you better believe it.

The Bengals IDL also negated the inside zone runs in addition to the Bengals Edge players beating the Rams TE's.

Yes and their safeties played well and their QB played well too. But specific to TE there was more going on out there than those passes they caught. And that was where we really missed Higs. Time and again that end crashed in with zero challenge from TE. It was a problem.

But yeah for backups they were critical to winning it all. Both Hopkins and Blanton. Blanton contributed in two games and maybe some of those blocks his shoulder was already hurting him idk. We have all offseason to talk rosters and stuff though so I definitely appreciate what both of them did.
