Higbee can still block and catch, and he is a team guy. This is a win-win for both sides, and not for the people that wanted Kenyon Sadiq.

I don't think you can rule out Sadiq but I think it's disingenuous to think that the odds of us taking him haven't diminished quite a bit.

I doubt the Rams are high on Sadiq. He's potentially a very high end piece down the road, but if they're going to go weapon at the top it will be a wideout. Adams has a year left in horns. Nacua will be in heavy usage in the slot and like Kupp his physical style invites a lot of contact. Basic idea will be expand the redzone potency and 4 minute options for 9 outside the hash, and also help cover for loss of one of their top two threats if one of them were to miss time. Hands, catch radius, and big frame with enough juice for that X role will be the goal.

TE could certainly happen. But it would probably be midrounds, where one they value ends up on the board for them in a spot they can't pass him up.

Well, my dream of getting Sadiq is now gone. What a drag. He hopefully will be taken by an AFC team, because if SF, Philly, GB or Detroit get him we will regret it big time.
Or maybe the Rams are dropping a smokescreen to avoid being jumped?…

We badly need speed outside, so my guess is WR at 13 or trade down.

I love a TE heavy offense, Sadiq would really crowd the room. But he sure could be a weapon here.

Well, considering there are 10 coverage guys or blockers on kicks....youre going to have a lot more depth guys that don't contribute on ST than do.
Depth is a great thing to have.
Still in terms of being active on gameday, my preference is to have as many non starters that are physical and capable of being solid to plus contributors on special teams. Someone goes down in the game, the teams don't miss a beat.

Its only 3 games and doesn’t account for everything in a game but in the 2025 CFP Sadiq stats:
Vs JMU 2 recs/19 yds
Vs Tx Tech 4/22
Vs Indiana 5/29

Some of the best starters in the league did it the hard way through teams. We need to capture that mentality

Charles Robinson implied that scouts had some interesting things to say about his lack of production but was cut off by Andrew Scilliano on their Pod... I wanted to grab that smurf by his ears and toss him when he did that!

TE depth 2025:

1. Higbee
2. Parkinson
3. Allen
4. Ferguson

When Higbee was on IR:

1. Parkinson
2. Allen
3. Ferguson
4. Vannett

TE depth 2026:

1. Higbee
2. Parkinson
3. Allen
4. Ferguson

If they draft Sadiq:

1. Higbee
2. Parkinson
3. Ferguson
4. Sadiq

That's a pretty solid room. But I also like drafting a speedy WR instead like others mentioned. Depends what McSnead likes. If Sadiq is too good to pass up, meaning he'll eventually be a top target in a year or 2, then I can go with that.

If we're really all in on 13 personnel, 5 TEs might make sense
