So unless you're a fan of the Rams for only about a year you should remember the trial of Havenstein at RG in 2017 training camp. He was beyond bad there. We're going to have to rely on these guys being coached up or replacements are going to come from in house.
And lastly the Trent Williams pipe dream is just that a dream that a dream that has no possiblity of happening not just because we won't use the draft capital that would be required to get him but his cap hit next year is more than we can afford. People need to look at these things and be realistic.
Mostly agree, although I do believe there is room for at least 1 top free agent to be brought on-board, probably two.
The Rams are slated to have approximately $45.mil.+ of available CAP next year, and the only must re-signs I see are Littleton, Zuerlein & maybe back-up Center Colton Shelton. Signing these three give us 42 signed players to the roster for 2020. My first two draft picks would go towards a DT/DE and a CB, replacing Brockers & Peters in the pipeline. My top free agent choice at the moment would be to go after F.O.S.M., RG Brandon Scherff of Washington.
Noteboom will fight it out with Edwards for the starting LT role, Allen will remain at Center, Scherff would become our RG and Havenstein will remain at RT, likely having to fight off Edwards here also. LG will be awarded to the winner between Evans, Demby, Brewer, Kolone and another mid-round 2020 draft pick. I expect changes, but it won't be drastic as Noteboom has always been the plan at LT and Havenstein's dead money is too large to deal with until the 2020 season is behind us. jmo.
